One thing I would like to ask the forum. I have 2 years of experience in NOC 1112 as Investment Analyst for a private firm. Most of My job duties match with job duties required for noc 1112 in NOC description of NOC 1112 by CIC. But I am graduate Engineer in Electronics. So can I show that as experience or not? As they said the persons should ave performed majority of duties including main duties that I sure perform but my education is not as in their req. So advise me on this.

I am new at this process and wanted some advice. I am a B Tech grad and has been working in India for past 6 years. Wanted to know if i am eligible for applying PR. Also wanted to know the time lines for the same? When i looked up in the immigration website questionaire it said i might be qualified. BTW in the profession category mine comes under 2133.

If i start applying this year it would take ~10 months to get it processed?

Applications start only after May 1st every year? If i start thinking now and apply sometime in June or July will i stand a chance to get or should i try only next year? Kindly help.

I am sure the answers will raise many more questions 8)

Education and Experience are evaluated seperately by CIC.
If your job duties matches with your eligible NOC and you have atleast one year of experience in the last 10 years in that eligible NOC, you can go ahead filing your application.

regarding the question of National Identity Document Expiry Date ? We have ID in my country (not India) but without Expiry Date , and the IMM 0008 form couldn't be validated without entering a date, no words can be written
What do you suggest

I have all letters for my current company, but I only have experience letters from my previous employers( for which I'm not counting points and is falling under different NOC), Is it okay?
In previous experience letters they only included date of joining and date of departing the company in company letterhead only. ( No job duties included)
Let me know your thoughts.

You can select "No" that you don't have National ID. It is completely fine.

If I were you, I would tick "Yes", then put some Expiry date. Then I would have taken print-out and written that there is in fact no Expiry date by black ink pen on the form beside the question itself and that I was forced to write so and so expiry date in order to validate the form.

Also I would have included a cover letter explaining the case.

My passport and all other documents only have 'First Name' and no 'Last Name' but few of my reference letters have 'Last Name' also. Should I need to mention it in Generic Form for field 'Known by other name'?
And should I also need to provide some affidavit to support it?

I think you might get rejection as you can only send application on or after 1st May canada time. I think you should get back your application if possible and send it again!
