It is okey that the card's CVV has 3 numbers. there are different cards with different CVV, maximum 4 numbers. There are more credit cards with only three numbers.
Type of the card you should just chose - Visa, MasterCard or AmEx. depends on the type of your card (tick it)

Fill the 3 numbers of CVV from left to right. The last one will stay empty.
Fill it all in PDF and then print and sign.

I have a question regarding the payment for paying for FSW. One of the option is to pay through a bank draft and the other option is to pay via a credit card. On the form " IMM 5620 - Fee Payment form ". There is an option to enter details for the Card Security Verification code (CVV), and there are 4 boxes next to this. What if someone's security code is just for 3-digits. Which box is to left empty or put a dash or what to enter ?

The next question is that, under the section - B (CREDIT CARD PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION), it is written that "Please indicate the type of credit card with an "X" ", whereas if you are filing the over pdf , it asks you to TICK the type of credit card you hold , rather than placing an "X" .. Shall I tick it or Shall I take a print and later place an "X" in to the box ?

1. Fill details of CVV from left to right and leave last one blank.
2. Print it and then put "X" with black pen.

and the for the next question, you are asking me to take a print out and then place an X on the type of credit card that I am holding rather than placing the tick !

1. I have put 3 digits in the last three boxes and it worked
2. You can do both - either way works, but its best ti tick it if it asks for it in pdf.

Yea, you are right on both the observations.
Also, please note that it does not matter if you put X by pen ( or by any other mean), as long as you are able to indicate CIC
