As soon as they start sending the PER mails (to fortunate ones), they will update the cap page.

So if early birds get their PER mail by mid-next week... then expect first Cap update by end of next week or early the following week !

I suppose CIO wil be processing Applications much faster this year as the FSW 2014 target is raised {25000 Application in 8 mos.(May-Dec) v/s 5000 Application in 12 mos. FSW 2013}

Its only CIC which will expedite processing, not the Visa Offices. CIC anyways takes 3-4 months to give PER so ideally it should take 12 months on an average...

Better to submit original and keep copy with you.

submit a statement for your savings account to be on safe side. You only need to submit copies as per checklist.

Lot of the personal messages about the small mistakes in the forms and documents i am not sure that which mistakes are allowed or not. I think the CIC staff is nice & cooperative, we should be true and genuine and try to complete the documents very carefully.

I just left asset and liabilities blank and printed $xxxxx in Settlement fund. It will be considered $0 if left blank.

FDR/TDR photocopy are good as evidence but would not suffice alone. The thing is that you'll need their Total principal amount of all your FD's as on date. (The FD's accrues interest and their present value - principal amount is more than what is mentioned on the face of it). The total present value of FD's can be given by Bank manager only from checking their system... so take it on Bank letterhead.. also, add comment that it is unencumbered)

Is it mentioned anywhere that a letter from the branch manager needs to be provided? Doesn't FDR photocopy suffice?
