Hi everyone, I got my PER today thru mail. ;D

Application sent last may 28
DD negotiated = sept 24
Email from visa office for additional doc = nov 10
PER thru mail = Oct 15 ( date in the letter) letter received this morning

Congratulations!!!

Woke up few mins back and right away logged into my AMEX online statement. Realized that the available credit limit dropped by 1,100 CAD.

My CC has been finally charged !!! NOC 2171 31st July Applicant. The cc charging tension is finally over !

2173 capped now..
So can we assume data will be updated once noc reaches cap?

Is the list recently updated or i missed some thing... coz i thought only 2 professions were capped.. just noticed tht now there r 3.. but over all total is still 8,101..

Very strange are the ways of the CIO.

So after a CAP update last friday, they updated just 3 business days later only the CAP for NOC 2173. The other NOCs are the same.

That explains why they were in a hurry with the IT NOC charges this monday: they did wanted to CAP all the possible NOCs.

The new total number of applications is 8.497 - already more than 1/3 of the total 25.000 CAP.

On the next few days we will discover the last one to get their CC for 2173. I do hope that 2171 goes at least until late September / October.

Its little strange. I am sure, all out here must have been watching the overall cap as well, till yesterday, it was not updated.

But how come if the underlying cap for 2173 is increased but the total count remains the same as last update, i.e 8101.

Something fishy ........ ?

May be they just want the applicants to know that they have enough applications for 2173 to meet the cap of 1000 and please don't send any more.
They might have updated the cap in the last minute before they close the office and they don't have time to update the overall cap and the date.

Everything is fishy with the CIO. The total count was wrong since Friday. The real count now is 8.497 - which proves that the total count is added manually.

Who's to say if the "Last Update Date" isn't manual as well? Either you are right - and the CAP was updated Monday and nobody saw - or they updated today and that date is also manual.

I have applied under insurance category
0121 Insurance manager for 3 and a half years.

Consecutively I have 1 Years and eleven months of experience as an insurance agent.
Does that count under my experience too.

Please remember agent gets commission and is not an employee of the organization.

i would like to thank all of you in this forum.
If it were not for Asifee to start such a tread I must humbly accept that i would not have ever made it.
I never knew that there is a need to mention detailed JD in the reference letters since i
was a first time applicant and didnt hire a consultant.

Below are my details : 16th July 2014

Noc : 2263
PER date : 12 th Nov( Saw this morning)
Payment mode D as per mail enchased on 1st NOV.

Thanks all for your support and encouragement while i was loosing hope.

Key points i wish to inform to prospective applicants are

1) send a completed application
2) Birtcert if unawailable use SSC marksheet and an affidavit. If birth cert doesnt have name keep an self declared affidavit.
3) confusion in names apply for gazette (takes 21 days from online submission) & keep an affidavit
4)Job decriptions : write precise ones which is the key to success.
5) used transalation and got it notarised from Hindi to english laywers can do it for you.
6) finally took a DD based on Oscar's recomendation.
7) All my JDs were 1 page sentenses/points were not more than 10 some exp letters had less than that.


ONE can do it without the help of consultants and with the help of all our very helpful forummates.

A question -

My son's passport will expire next year in May. I will apply for new passport for him in coming days.. Just in case I am not able to notify the CIC about new Passport number before Medicals, Can I do it at any stage. What If the PPR is generated and VISA is issued on older passport. What will be the validity of VISA then and whether he will be able to travel.. I hope he will by carrying both the passports.

How will they issue a visa without requesting your passport? Visa will be issued on the most recent passport that you submit to your VO upon request. VO will probably ask for updated passport information with the MR. If not, you can send it to them yourself.

If you can successfully demonstrate your experience as an agent, yes, it counts.

If you were not employed of the organization you should fetch reference letters from your previous clients and the company that had you as an agent, as well as payments.

Manual update in a developed country for an international affair like migration, and in an computerized app, is just not sinking in my head....this is really awful.
