I received my MR after 58 days and some received after 70...so have faith and wait...

Medical With Diabetes :

---PEOPLE WITH DIABETES DOING MEDICALS---

Just wanted to share my experience with medicals...as I believe future people might this info and suggestions useful.

We did our medicals at prescription point. Unfortunately my husband has type II diabetes and ofcourse it was a matter of great worry for us. So the first day when we went, all tests were done and my husband mentioned to to the doc about the diabetes med (metformin) that he is currently taking. So the doc ordered an extra test which is a creatine serum test that checks the kidney functionality (and we paid for this separately).

The next morning we got a call from prescription point as they found high sugar in his urinanalysis but his creatine test was normal along with everything else. So the doc ordered to repeat the urine test. So my husband went again the next day (which was last Thursday) and gave urine sample again. Today (Sunday) finally the meds were uploaded even though his urine sugar was still high. But they said it will not be a problem(hopefully Insha Allah) as the creatine test came normal which meant his kidneys are fine.

So just some suggestions for people with diabetes:
1. Do not lie or try to hide it as it will come in the blood/urine test
2. Do not worry if you need extra testing as these are all procedures
3. Try to not eat sweet stuff and drink lots of water a day before the test as it dilutes the sugar in your system
4. I have done a lot of research and found that until diabetes has had some severe effect in your body like ruined one of your organs, it is fine and cic usually doesn't reject based on just diabetes. For reference I found 3 people from this forum who got MR with diabetes recently in 2014.
5. It is better to take the urine and sugar test somewhere else before the actual medicals to check what situation the diabetes is in and how well it is controlled.
6. Please ensure diabetes is in control before going for testing as if it is high they will refer you to a specialist and the medicals will unnecessarily take longer time.

Not unless you won't to lose processing and courier fee, and more importantly 5 months of time.

Congratulation. Hopefully you will get it within 2 weeks and if not then you have to wait a long time.

As far as I know, background verification can be done before or after 2nd line - it depends on the case officer who is handling the file. Some people get MR before processing started and some people waits for months for MR after processing started.

Pls update the spreadsheet. When your file started processing?

But PCC and other additional documents not asked. ( I have submitted 2 times PCC in 2009 and 2012 in my previous application and I attached copy of those with this time initial application to Sydney )

When they will ask those PC.?

I am afraid that my Sri lankan PC will take 3 months. ( I have already applied ).

Will they provide enough time to submit those PCs?

Hi Guys,

My application for NOC 2173 was received on 4th Sept. As current CAPPING is 699 for this NOC, so what are the chances i will in CAPPING Limit ??

Really very tense now after capping is updated to 699.

You will make it. It is just two weeks away from the current c-check.

generally it takes 9 months....lol...
jokes apart...as per current trend it takes around 120 days for PER
60 days after PER mail to processing start
and if everything is ok then, 5-8 day for medical...

Hi, I have a big doubt on my application after seeing the count increased this week end to 699 in NOC 2173.
I have applied on NOC 2173 and my application has been reached on 1st OCT.
Please let me know the fair chances so that I can proceed for PCC ?

proceed for pcc. You still have a slim chance though it might just about be touch and go.

Actually I wrote it in my original files has some mistake so they asked for update
I updated and correct with some change
It will affect my credibility with them as it was from 3 days and no reply till now

if we closely watch the SS, then
after 10th May applications, days for PER, processing start, Medical r increased....it also depends upon VO...
it is quite natural....work load increase, speed decreases...rest is our luck...

Hello All..Got my medical request, partial pcc request and RPRF request ..Updated the sheet now ..
But I'm in a spot of bother as my wife is pregnant. I know its an ever lasting debate whether to go for x-ray or not. Now I'm planning to request NDVO for an extension of x-ray...do you guys have any idea if I can submit this request via case specific enquiry?? If I do that, what would be the average delay for a response? Please help. Thanks.

congrats and +1. Inform the doctor and he will do the needful. Your application will be on hold till you get the x ray done.

u can ask for extension if required and they will give it u....dont worry
