btw, if VO has doubt that you do not fall under 2171 you will be called for interview and then you have to defend your case.

The rejection will be only if he is 101% sure that duties does not fall under 2171 (your primary NOC).

Not necessarily. The reviewer is not obligated to ask for additional information or for an interview or to give the applicant an opportunity to plead their case. It is the burden of the applicant to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the requirements in their original application. Don't assume you will get any chance to improve/clarify your application later.

I posted this question earlier also, however not able to find that post. My question was - On form IMM0008_3E section 12 - we need to mention our duties but the space for that is not enough. Can someone please help me how to fill it or am using the wrong version of Adobe reader

There should be enough space to list 3-5 major duties. It is not crucial to provide a lot of detail in that space because the corresponding employer reference letter will provide all the necessary detail. Just make sure you enter something in that space that makes sense and matches what is in the letter.

I have applied recently and have submitted my credit card details for payment. Now I understand from bank that they are upgrading their process and issuing chip technology credit cards to all their existing customers. As a result, a new card will be issued

Question -

1. Is there a way I can communicate to the embassy about the change and inform them of the new credit card details
2. Upon receipt of the new card if I don't activate it then will the old card (expiring in 2016) remain active

1. You can try, and if you already have a UCI it is more likely to work, but there is no guarantee.
2. This is something you should ask your bank not us.

If you already have N/A in every space it's fine, it doesn't matter.

I suggest not leaving an empty table and referring to annexures only. I filled the table to the extent that I could and then used the last line of the tables to refer to any annexures. Some posters here will tell you it's fine not to fill in the table at all and use an annexure only, if there is a lot of information. I think it's a matter of personal preference and I haven't heard any example where it affected the application.

Please help me to find out suitable NOC for following responsibilities. I am confused in between 2171 and 2173 because my tasks involve Business Analysis, Testing, Training and sometimes participated in Technical Pre-sales (RFPs & demos) as well.

1. Study the organization's existing information system processes to recognize the weaknesses and recommended enhancements with the help of best practices.

2. Monitor the efficiency of the processes execution and to implement improved processes in upcoming projects.

3. Interact with client in all phases of SDLC System Development Life Cycle of information system for understanding the requirement and expectations and take immediate actions on client's feedback.

4. Elicit requirements for developing system using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios and business analysis.

5. Analyze the client's existing system and compare with organization's benchmark system and recommends the modifications with minimal cost and time required.

6. Prepare and review business requirement documents and signed-off from client including Software Requirement Specification, Use Cases, UML, Mockups, etc.

7. Sessions with Project Manager, Development team and Testing team to ensure that software development requirements are correctly understood and delivered for implementation.

8. Review of technical design of information system based on functional requirements and suggest improvements.

9. Work closely with project manager and technical team to assist in finalizing the project scope, resources assignment and timelines for delivery.

10. Prepare and review test plan, test cases, automated scripts, defects reporting, execution of different testing types functional, performance, GUI, Database, etc. and lead testing team.

11. To update project team about the quality of system with defects report and testing cycles.

12. Responsible for releases deployments of the software.

13. Responsible to conduct training and writing user manual of the newly developed information system.

14. Involved in user acceptance testing of the new developed software and change management process

15. Pre-Sales activities including client handling, conduct product demos, project proposals writing, technical and functional RFP fulfillment, resource/cost estimations, etc.

I am not IT guy but my vote is for 2171. Seems like your job is more related to Project Management Office. I would suggest to add phrases like information system more so that your job sounds like more IT related job. The red marked writing has been added to your job description in order to give flavor of information system related to work.

Again, I am not IT specialist and anything I added to your job description could be completely wrong - so use your judgment and may seek other's vetting specially the IT specialist.

Job Summary- Responsible for the financial reports & analysis, fin planning, compliance, tax requirements and investment mgmt

The following NOC's from Eligible List we're contemplating :

• 0111 Financial managers
• 0121 Insurance, real estate and financial brokerage managers
• 1212 Supervisors, finance and insurance office workers

Pls advise the best match for NOC, also considering the chances of Cap availability -

Even without having IT background you understood and come up with justified amendments for NOC 2171. I really appreciate your efforts. So far, I have got 3 votes for 2171 from forum members but all of them are non-IT members

I am still waiting for someone having IT expertise of 2171/2173/2174 to comment on this!

My vote is for 0111 Financial managers. If his application is received by 1st week of June, he will definitely be fallen within CAP.

in that small space you give reference of the annexure no. And attach the seperate annexure with your job details.
I have seen to many forms filled up with this option so it is valid and acceptable.

Yes 2171 is more kind of expert or client facing and PM role. 2173 i is if you have significant design experience where you provide solution for business requirements and Churn out a high level design. Then 2174 is role where you are involved in with low level v design , code and unit and integration test. Some of the duties over lap with 2173 . so if you have less than 3-4 yrs experience as developer better go for 2174. 2173 if you have 5-8. And 2171 if you have significant Customer facing role .

From jan 2015 they will start express entry so I think they will settle most of the applications before that. Therefore, they will move with faster pace.
