What i learned going through latest post here that application counted for cap after completeness check ( August 3rd week )

Hey, ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, as per this article: This year's FSW prog will end on DEC, 2014.

Wrong. The FSW program continues upto April 30th 2015 as per ministerial instructions. The Express Entry program is to start from Jan 2015 but it is just announced yet and no clarity on the same. Probably announcement will be done in Jan 2015 and actual entries might be accepted from May 2015. Even if it (EE) actually starts in Jan 2015, FSWP2014 will continue upto April 30th 2015 as per ministerial instructions, unless cut short by a new revised ministerial instruction.

Right, not an official CIC site and not an official information. They are just speculating just like everybody else.

I just wish this speculation game ended already. Unless CIC comes out with an official statement, current program will run through April 2015.

As per future_canadian's signature:

"FSW ends April 30, 2015, and not one minute before, unless a new Ministerial Instruction is issued."

We have no information whether or not Chris - the Minister for Citizenship and Immigration - will issue a new instruction before the EE begins.

To be safe you should file your app before December 31st, as the lawyer mentioned. But it may as well continue until April 30, 2015.

But it states clearly "These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015". All applications received in Jan'15 will fall under Express Entry. This will definitely affect many applicants who still are preparing applications/ haven't yet started.Moreover the link comes from the person who actually runs this forum(website).

Nowhere its mentioned "All applications received in Jan'15 will fall under Express Entry".

FSWP 2014 will continue upto April 30th 2015 unless there is a new ministerial instruction which cuts it short.

Hi, I am a newbie here. I discovered this forum a week ago. I finished applying for 2171 through a consultant last month. Wish I had known about this place earlier. Have a couple of queries

a) My 2171 app reached CIC in second week of Oct. What are the odds of CAP being reached before this date?

b) During my engineering degree, my name had my initials. For my post-grad diploma and all stages onward, I have used my full name. The WES evaluation specifically mentioned that my names are spelt differently for my engineering degree (evaluated as beging equivalent to a 4 year graduate course) and post-grad (evaluated as a 2 year non-recognized course). Could this change in name spelling be a problem? It didn't seem to me like this should be an issue, but I would appreciate some advice on this matter about how I could fix this.
