Hi...how to check application status...bcoz I check thru cic online service bt they are asking identification number....as per description of identification number I think I don't have any number.....
application recieved 23rd June
cc charged 14th oct
No update or PER recieved

Please guide how to check online status and frm whr to find identification number

Oct 14 charging must have receive PER by now.
You will only get UCI # or application # or receipt #
from your PER email which you can use to log in.
Please check your junk or spam mail for your PER and
if it is not there please send a mail to CIC because by
now you should have gotten your PER.

If you never applied for a Canadian visa before, you won't have a UCI number for ECAS to identify you. Sometimes CSU provides file # against a application status update request, but it takes 45 days. So, it looks like you are not able to check your status yet.

So no option as of now....I hav to wait until I received PER mail or any updates for my application

I have a question about application payment method, could you help me please?

I'm planning to pay with a bank draft, can I choose any local bank in my country ( Egypt ) to issue the bank draft? or I must choose a bank which has a branch in Canada ( Like HSBC or CIB ), because it will be impossible for me to make a bank draft from these banks, I have an account on " National Bank of Egypt - NBE " but this bank doesn't have a branch in Canada .. can I still make the bank draft from it??

You can make the draft cheques from any bank in Egypt but you have to have a foreign currency account with them in order to make a cheques in any currency other than Egyptian pound, the bank doesn't have to have a branch in Canada as they usually have partner banks. I did my cheque with CIB but I don't recommend using them as they wanted to cancel my cheque after less than a month from issuing it and I had a big complain with the bank to keep it for 6 months. HSBC will not accept to open a foreign account just to issue the cheque unless you are an existing customer. If you are a customer of NBE, you can open an USD account and deposit the money there then they will issue the cheque for you. You will need to supply them with a copy of CIC website showing the fees. PM if you have more questions.

It a good coincidence for me to have my file received at the same day as yours but under different NOC code which is 1111. When do you expect our CC charge date to be.

My expectation for files received at 07/29/2014 to start getting charged at 11/13/2014. What is your call?

i wish this forum had an option where we can see who responded to our posts, we get 200+ posts every day and its extremely hard to hustle through 50-60 pages to just see if we did get a response or not...in this age of IT, we can do better.
