Hello seniors,
I really need your advice on this. I am confused. Please help..
My friend worked as a graphic designer for 3 years and then he worked in advertising for another 3 years. He will apply under the noc code 1123 (Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations) because graphic designer is not an eligible occupation.
If he gets letters for his both experience, will he be able to obtain 15 points? Or will he only get 11 points for his advertising experience?

You have to match graphic designer with a valid NOC from types 0, A or B.

If you do so he will get points for 6 years of experience.

I can answer only for your second query which is for Australia PCC. You can still apply for Australian PCC from your home country through this site https://afpnationalpolicechecks.converga.com.au/. go ahead and complete now so that you could get your pcc early. ANy details needed please send Personal message. All d Best

Yes there is a NOC type B with 5241 - Graphic designers and illustrators, but this is not an eligible occupation this year?

As I understand, eventhough his secondary experience is not an eligible occupation, it still counts?

Im very surprised they asked again for Australian PCC, what issue date it has on the paper? The other thing is that they might want to see your personal address from Pakistan and not Australia, PCC from Australia is valid for 12 months.

I am just wondering how CIC will calculate the years of experience. Is it going to in calender months(i.e 12 months= 1 year) or hours worked (1440 hours=1 year; that is, min of 30/week).

I need your response please.
