You need to submit ECA Report together with the diploma (the english-translated and the original) for secondary and tertiary education (and up), also the transcript of records from your university/college.

Thanx for the clarification,
Although i was not aware of the specific CIC guidelines, that is why i refered to previous discussion.

Also, i said OPTION 2 is NOT ADVISABLE based on understanding of the way Canadian's refer to a person and the way the forms appears after validation.

Once again tx for clarification.

arundasp said:
Bro as per the CIC Help Centre, we can write Not applicable.

What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.

If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field.

Hi Ashif,

Thanks for the prompt response. I checked the local visa office which is New Delhi(India) and the processing time is mentioned as 22 weeks, which is nearly two years. So that means it is gonna take 2 years instead of one.

Dear All,

First of I would like to thank you all for the information you guys are sharing on the forum. It is very valuable for all of us.

I have applied for PR (FSW) in August- 2011 and my documents were returned Feb 2012 because the cap was reached. UCI no.
was written with pencil on my returned application. I checked the ECAs . It rerurned no results. My Queries are:

1. Can I alter the details mentioned in that earlier application..??:
2. DO I need to mention the UCI no. in my new application for June-2014? : Yes.

Please help on this as I need to apply in June 1st Week..!!
1. Yes you can alter the details to reflect the current update.
2. Yes, if you have the number, you should.

For FSW 13, we have shortest time of 128 days for a positive decision, so make it anywhere from 4+ months to 1 year for has just completed for some folks but still waiting decision.

hi guys, i have a question to all the successful applicants here.

i have read a thread on this forum, about an application being returned because he/she did not put "NA", "Not Applicable" on some fields. The thread was created 2009, how true is this now? Did you guys, put NA on every field not applicable to you? Say for the IMM 0008, when you selected "No" on the field "A) Have you previously been married or in a common-law relationship?", then you did not put anything on "b) Provide the following details for your previous spouse/common-law partner:"?

Will the application be returned to you just because you did not put anything on the field that obviously don't need to have anything written on it?

Can you share your experience?

Yes if you provide relevant documents & prove that he is your real uncle. Then you will be awarded 5 points.

Writing NA or Not Applicable is important. If u leave any field empty whether applicable to u or not...CIC considers that u have not read the form properly. My advice, fill the forms on computer. Reduces errors and also the generic form needs to be filled on computer as u need to generate bar code by validating the form.

hi,

I'm planning to include my spouse IELTS score for getting 5 additional points.

i will be the primary applicant and i'm NOT applying visa for my wife when i file the application.

I understand that i have to give details about my wife in application, though i'm not applying visa for her.

My question is, Shall i claim the additional 5 points from spouse IELTS score, though i'm not applying visa for spouse.

Thanks,
Vijay
Your application will not accepted if you do not include your wife.

thanks for replying. i used computer on writing to IMM 00008, it was validated, and some of the fields not applicable are gayed out so i assumed that that's it? and i don't need to write NA on them?
