I am stuck in a situation.

My application got back on 17th October (Returned on 2nd August). I sent it in May. My NOC is 2172 and it still has a lot of space so I wanted to apply again.
BUT I have moved to England for my Master's. I will here till September 2015. I want to apply again but my application package is back home (Pakistan) and I have a few documents with me here (bank statement etc). I am not even sure if

1. I should start from scratch with updated documents or I should use the old one?
2. Should I ask my family to apply on my behalf or shouldI apply here from England?
3. I have some documents here and some are in Pakistan. Should I even try again or not?

Hey Grooby,

Why did you send the new payment form (i am asking out of curiosity) ? What i can see that you are a July applicant and to my knowledge new payment form was made available in the month of August.

My question is, still do you feel that there is a need to send new payment form.

no man ... my credit card got replaced with a new chip+pin credit card. so had to replace my previous payment form... Hoping that this will get added to my application...

No, you are getting it wrong. The whole idea behind this option to change VO is to make it more convenient for you to communicate with the Canadian authorities during your temporary stay in another country when you lodge the app for immigration. Supposedly, I was legally admitted to France for 1 year 15 years ago. Can I chose Paris VO for processing my app now?

No... so I should say you must have been legally admitted for one year and currently be residing there. The "where to apply" page clearly gives you a choice of country of citizenship or country of residence, not former countries of residence.

I agree it may not be convenient to choose a VO if you will not remain in that country very long, but if you've been there for at least a year I believe you can do so.

would like to mention that :
1) used old generic form (updated on June 17 and I had mailed on June 18)
2) did not write name in native language but written NA
3) left liabilities box blank

Is there any CIO contact number where I can talk to an agent based on my UCI no... All the options that I hear r based on application no.

Also, can they answer any queries or they r just for status check...

I have a query " I am on OWP (since 25 July) in Toronto n got an offer from one of the banks on 20 Oct. I have applied under 2174 on 21 Aug. Since the cap is already full for 2174, if I send my Offer to CIO will they accept this n consider my application over and above the cap without LMIA"

Okay.. Got News!!! Not freaking out!!!!!

My husband's application has been returned yesterday 21-Oct.
NOC 2173
App received on July 29th
Reasons:
1) Responsibilities on reference letters not matching lead statement of the NOC code 2173
2) Sworn affidavits to be attached as no proper birth certificate available
3) Personal cheque not acceptable.

For 2 & 3, we sent them as additional docs which was received by CIC on October 14th. As mentioned by a forum member it dint reach on time.

Questions:
1) Might take another two weeks (optimistic) to get a fresh set of Reference letters. If the second application package reaches CIC by say 17th November, could it be within CAP? Oh my.. Does that sound funny.
2) Should I include the same application returned with additional documents or fill the forms again?
3) Should we wait for the additional docs to come back as well or spend for another set of sworn affidavit and Certified Cheque?

Okay.. if anyone is looking at the spreadsheet, his entry is not there. I'll try to add that soon.

And Why am I not freaking out, because I have another application submitted with me as Principal applicant for NOC 2171, application received on 6th Aug. Luckily certified cheque and sworn affidavits were included. And I believe my reference letters are detailed enough, fingers still crossed in prayers. You'll find my entry on SS.

Another set of questions:

1) Should I even wait to know about my application before re-submitting his application? When would I know any information on my application? Intelligent guesses please?
2) Should I freak out or not? YES or NO, YES or NO,YES or NO,YES or NO,YES or NO?? I think I know the answer... it doesn't help to freak out. I'm still alive, my application is.

Sorry for thinking out loud... If that's irritating any of the forum members.
And did I forget.... CONGRATULATIONS for all the Good News memebrs!!!!!!!!! You keep us going.

Sorry to hear this. As to your questions:

1. Nobody knows.
2. You should update the forms. This is a completely new application so it isn't acceptable for the information you give to leave a gap of several months right before you send it.
3. The additional docs may or may not come back, and nobody can predict when. I wouldn't wait.

1. If you were willing to submit 2 applications just in case, and now you have only 1 submitted but still no answer from them, why not submit the second one again?
2. No, don't freak out, you still have another application in the queue.
