Hi Everyone

I had a question regarding First and Last Name on my Indian Passport.

In my passport i don't have a last name, i.e. First Name is written as 'HARSHDEEP SINGH' whereas last name field is empty.

So while filling up the forms it stated that please write your name as per your travel documents, what happened was that i didn't have a last name and when left that field as empty it didn't allow me to complete the form.

What i did in this case is wrote 'NA' in all the columns where last name was asked and 'HARSHDEEP SINGH' where first name was asked.

So is this the correct approach i followed or there can be a possible rejection in this case due to a missing Last Name?

Here's info from CIC site and what I did -
"If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank.”

Today or yesterday someone had simmilar problem. He/she was advised to leave first name blank and write in last name only. There is some guidline on cic website also. I don't have the link but you can just try to search there[

Just received my PER e-mail short while back ! ;D

My details are as follows:
Appl Received : 11-June-14
Payment Charged : 29-Sept-14 (DD)
PER Received : 8-Oct-14


Was just wondering about two things:

1) The next step and its timeline ?

2) The email mentions 'UCI & Application' numbers, can I monitor my application status on CIC' website with these codes ? ???

I have finally gotten my PER mail today. Visa office New Delhi.
Can you please tell me what are the next steps for me ?
Is there anything that I need to do ?
I sent my PCC request from US immediately after seeing the mail, that will take 3- 4 months.

Got the shocking email @ 4:23pm IST.

Guys just one concern why cic has not updated noc 1113 as of yet? Does anyone hav any idea at wht stage do they add an entry to the cap list? Whether after giving PER or much later?

Canadian Educational Credential or Educational Credential Assessment (ECA):

I have received the WES stating that the ACCA membership is equivalent to 3 years bachelors which help me to fetch 21 points. I have also done B.COM. What documents i should include in this section ? (i.e. ACCA or B.COM + ACCA). Should i give photocopies or original photocopies or notarized copies.??

Language:

Should i include original IELTS result or photocopy or notarized copies?

Relatives:

I have my maternal uncle in Canada, I want to claim 5 points for him. He is real brother of my mother. What documents i need to include here to prove the relationship and also to claim the points? Do i need to include any cover letter here? Do i need to put any affidavit or notarized letter?

Section -11 - Financials:

What is total Assets? - Is this everything you have and it's networth or only bank balance?

Laibilities - What does it include? Does it include Credit Card balances?

Settlement Funds - What it is ? How it is different from Total Assets?

How can i provide evidence for the above? Bank Statement is sufficient? Is there anything else i need to get on the bank statement?

I am applying in NOC - 1111 (Accountant and Auditors)

My duties are very descriptive for each position I worked for, How can i write in one single box? Could you please advise what we have to write and how?

I would be very grateful for any help in completing my application pack. I am running out of time so would like to submit as soon as possible.

Hi Forumites,
My husband applied for 2173 and his application reached CIC on July 4th. Unfortunately he lost his CC on Oct 3rd and they blocked it. I have been reading a lot of posts here, some have resend the whole application package(which will be too late for my husband to do now) and others have sent updated payment form.
I would like to know/hear from those who sent updated payment form - if anyone got new CC charged and application was accepted without issue related to CC?

There have been simmilar cases where people lost their cards or blocked. They all sent new payment forms with new cc details or dd and those have been accepted, processed and issued PER also.

I would strongly recommend you guys to immediately send new form.

Just scroll 4-5 pages back or search for Indiana_Jones , i have explained him how to proceed with additional documents.

Good luck ..... but dont delay as matching additional documents with original file somtimes taketime also.
