This tells me that we probably should expect similar increases for Canada as well once the express entry kicks in.

Fewer applicants invited = increased fees (just what happened in Australia)

Honestly speaking, people are planning for Canada because of its proximity to US and easier Citizenship rules. Given the fact that people send 4-5 lacs for H1B, I dont think people would mind paying 2-3 lacs for EE. Guess, they have realised that and want to cash in on it

Guys, need a quick help.

I am applying for ECA today from India, Chennai. This is what the information I have collected. Sorry, I am in a rush and started doing this whole FSW process since yesterday. Please advise me if I am missing anything. And please tell me if I am correct so that I can be sure before leaving home.

1. Created an account in WES.
2. The provisional and degree certificate - Photcopies
3. Getting a closed envelope with attested copies of all semester marksheets from controller of examination.
4. Send both documents along with WES letter and register number to WES Toronto address.

LoL!! Two predominant complaints I get from my friends. Cost of Living and not very friendly environment.

I lived in both UK and US, never found that unfriendliness thing. Wonder how does Canada treat new entrants.

My gut feeling is that medical request means either background check has been done or it has been waived.

There is nothing significant to "Start processing...." with respect to background checking. Everybody will have this stage.

Hi frnds... there are about 15 members waiting with only ECAS Status updation. Ie..we have started processing of your application on xx xx xxxx. Please tell me any of these getting background check or request from vo for additional docments. Some ppl in this waiting more than a month for medical request. What is the reason for delay. Experts pls comment on this and members included in this ststus update their experience.

Could you please help me Seniors;
my consultant has made quite few minor clerical mistakes i.e. she wrote manager instead of engineer in one of my work experience in Schedule 3: Economic Classes [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3] form and check wrong box of no. of years of experience. now I am planning to send updated form with a cover letter to CIO by myself and I was wondering what would be an excuse to make such a silly mistakes. and also she wrote JD of my thesis project for which I have not provide any reference letter since it was not a full time job. Please guide what should I do?

But Canada has been cashing in too for a long time. They are yet to return application fees of applicants before 2008 whose application got cancelled last year. They still haven't completed processing applications after 2008 while already cashing in on the applications fees. They aren't saints either!

It could turn into serious case of misrepresentation if the followings are true:
1. This is the only copy that is colored
2. He marked it as Original in the document checklist.
3. CIO/VO detects above points

Above are speculation only. Only he can answer.

Hi Century, Just for the sake of discussion.... Do you think they will be that severe, especially if this is a document, that can also be produced post PER? just wondering..... ??? They can consider it as a misrepresentaton if he is not able to provide similar clean chit PCC later right? 8)

Yes I will definitely throw in a few sentences summarazing my experience so far in the evening. BTW, the flag is Ontario's, and it used to be the de facto National flag of Canada, before they came up with the idea of Maple leaf.

In order to send experience certificate what are the main requirements so it dont get rejected

Few of my exp ceetificates dont have work hrs per week and salaray per year
Some have salary mentioned but as salary/month

What shud be the patteren am really confused.
As my old exprience cert. cant b correctd..

But the question is the status on the CIC site is still we have received your app on 14th May ..... please suggest where is my file as of now ??????

Its either on its way to NDVO or is lying in a heap in NDVO under 7-13 May applicants' files. It will be picked up when they are done with earlier dated applications (more or less). Watchout for MRs flowing in for 21st May applicants and/or the second line in ecas. You would be closer to MR at that time.
