In the application form, Is it ok if the amount of 'Assets' is same as Settlement funds? I dont have evidence of any other assets or liabilities...

Yes thats fine. Assets amount can be same as settlement fund. No one will ask you for your property papers. Its just POF that matters.

1. you can contact through https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi&_ga=1.261771332.899793830.1410419936

2. The current average is 42 days from receiving the PER. Check SS tab "Avg Process Time".

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here. I have been a silent reader of this forum since FSW 2013 before this thread was created. (Please check the SS before saying update your details) I have a small query, my file reached CIO Sydney on 22 May 2014. My card was charged on 10 Sep and got PER on 12th Sept.

My questions are:

1. I am planning to change my job soon and my PER mail says I must notify them of employment changes. However , I dont know how I should notify them and unsure if this will affect my application.
2. I have the 1st line updated on ECAS, any pointers on when the 2nd line will appear? Is it hen the file will be transferred to the VO or is it after it reaches VO and they start processing it?

Thanks!

Guys good news to share with you all ;D....

I am 30th May applicant under NOC 2171....Today morning i received a message "A charge of CAD 1100 has been initiated on your CC"...

Its all because of your best wishes and the efforts put by the mentors on this forum. Hats off to you guys who are doing really a great job ;D...

Wishing all the best to all the applicants, and may soon all guys have good news and finally get their PRs ;D....Thanks a lot ;D

Also i would like to know from all the senior members that, does CC charge means that my duties mentioned, matched the NOC category i have applied? Or is it that it is still to be evaluated?
As i was bit worried about the roles and responsibilities mentioned in the reference letter.

Thanks a lot ;D ;D

Congrats! Yes, they reckon your duties match with the NOC code, hence issued PER. In the future, the same will assessed one more time by Local VO. If they need any clarification, they will come back to you, but wont reject your file without contacting you. Chill now and celebrate your first milestone.

Hi All,

I am about to close all requirements for my application package. The last road-block showed its face today.

1. Went to ICICI Madhapur (Hyderabad) bank for DD, they said they are out of stock and only one branch in Secuderabad might have it - that branch is like 30 km from my place.
2. Went to HDFC - they said I should have an account with them, else the process takes at least 3 days to finish and I need to fill up many forms, declarations, etc.

Could you please help me with a better option? Isn't there any bank (say IndusInd) which would quickly give a DD without asking too many forms/declarations?

Thanks, as always!

Groooby - CIC will need a good pair of running shooes to match up to your promise... 21(June) app days to process in 23(10Oct-today) days.

I'm reasonably sure ..... CIC has been processing 1 received day application on a daily basis .... In about 15 working days, CIC should speed up even more ... something like 3 received dates in 2 days or 2 in one day .....

I think there is no better place than this forum for me to get help...........

My bank has mentioned me that i have 40000 withdrawal limit and 100000 rs as POS Transaction
limit on my debit card.

I need to pay 1400 cad

is there is enough limit available to do the transaction or there is difference between
POS transaction and international usage limit.....

please advise/..............

Go to Thomas Cook or similar travel agency office which deals with forex. They will be able to help you with the DD better than any bank.

I had a bad experience with HDFC (where my account is), none of their branches in Noida/Ghaziabad had Canadain Dollar DD in stock as stationary.
I spoke to a travel agency and they said it will be ready within a day. As I was in a bit of hurry to send application, I chose to use my HDFC CC instead and went ahead. CC charged (keep an eye on CC international usage limit though) and PER received.

Quickest Option I heard is Thomas Cook. Check with them.
