I had a look again at the website, it really states that this number is an estimate of the COMPLETED applications to date as they receive many applications every day so they update it with the best estimate every week. so the story of having a competence check then filing seems reasonable, however, was that the case last year? is anybody was on 2013 forum , monitoring 2013 CAPs, because the complete analysis in the SS by the seniors is based on another theory which is these numbers published are the number of PERs

how we know which theory is the right one? if the first CAP reach the 1000 on the website and still members have CC charged and receive PER emails then you are right, if not then the SS theory is right, and i guess we can know that after they started the mid-june applications

To be very straight, the numbers in the CIC page show number of applications which have been completely opened and whose CC or DD have been charged because completeness also means encashment of the fee. This is irrespective of the fact whether PER is issued or not because sending PER mails is a different ball game for them. So, the numbers include applicants who are yet to receive PER.

I also believe, perhaps, the lag between completeness and charge could be attributed to the scanning of the documents. I had about 250 pages of documents, weighing more than 1 kg, my entire file set. They are taking time for that.

Once that is done, UCI is generated and after that everything is online. Then the file gets transferred to charge department and perhaps second look.

I dont think they will transfer physical copies to local VO. Do you think this could be the case?

I think they scan our applications and everything is processed electronically after we submit it.

And I think that although processing is generally first come first serve, processing times for individual files will certainly vary based not only on how heavy the file is but also on how complicated your file is. So even for the same date, some applications are charged/get PER sooner than others.

ohh... .till now i was thinking these numbers reflect apps recieved by CIC . By this means there will be huge number in each NOC waiting to be assessed. My app was received on 2 sept in NOC 0911...i hope i will make in the cap then..

mine is 30 june under 0911

I'm seriously considering 1111 now. Bcoz my role had elements of both 1112 and 1111.

Did you provide any professional qualification? Did they demand a ECA report for that?

I personally think that CIC numbers account for applications that CIC has:
1) already sent PER and
2)have decided on PER but not sent to applicants yet (so we can expect a lot of PERs coming in soon if this is true)

Fantastic!! This is the insight we are looking for. However, do you not think there could be a lag of 20-30 days between completeness check and charging due the large amount of applications received this year, when compared to last year. Could it be the case that they segregated these two and that could be a reason?

Its not like banks do not get the info, They have a NOSTRO acccount for which they need to tally the credits and debits and then birng trial balance to Zero for that day. Its just that your Banker might not have been updated by forex department. But yes, DD's are 100% cash money

But still brother, till you dont get the PER, you have dinasours running in your stomach trying to eat you

Updating you LOR is acceptable after application is received at CIO. So in your case duties might be taken into consideration.

But, updating you LOR and claiming points based on that is not acceptable after application is received at CIO. To grant you points they not only take a look at dates on LOR but they also consider dates on Schedule 3 & Schedule A.

Today I dispatched proof of medicals and RPRF draft of INR 53400 and other demanded documents. I had a surgery of appendicitis 2 years back and my spouse had Gall bladder stone surgery 3 years ago.Doctor has also clearly mentioned the same in his report .Now my question is, will this cause any problem?? pls seniors respond :-[
