After MR...How many more steps are there?? any idea how long it will take for the VISA Stamping? Approx days?

*After visa office will receive your medical and RPRF, they will ask for your passport in around 1 month and then once they receive your passport it will be around 15 days to your visa.

*This calculations are based on spreadsheet only.

My guess is 4th oct applications, though most feel mid Sept.

Something i got when i googled... was lazy to type all details ;D all the steps are similar to what we went through.

Plus as i said before, for each step you will get SMS.
Bangalore One counters are present in Commissioner's office itself, but there maybe queue.

Type 2: Commissioner of Police PCC: This is a letter that the Commissioner's Office issues you. This is to state that you don't have/had any legal issues pending against you.
a) Obtain a form from the Commissioner's Office and fill it.
b) Pay the fees, and obtain a challan. (At any one of the Bangalore One counters (There is one in Commissioner's office itself))
c) Submit the form, challan, address proof, 3 photos at the Commissioner's Office.
d) The form will be processed at the Commissioner's Office.
e) From there, it will get forwarded to your local police station.
f) Your police station will call you when they see your application. Then you may need to either visit the police station, or the person may come to your home. If you don't hear from them for a long time, you should follow this up so you can be sure things are moving along.
g) You will need to keep the following ready when you see the police person: (i) Letters from 2 neighbors which state complete address, how long they've known you, how long they've lived at that address, that you have good moral character & conduct. Exact dates required. (ii) Copy of your passport (iii) Copy of driving license (iv) Copy of election card. (v) Copy of anything else that the police ask of.
h) Once this verification is completed, the police station will send the papers back to the Commissioner's Office.
i) You can go back to the Commissioner's Office a couple of days before the said date, and confirm that they have received all the papers.
j) They will give you the clearance at that point, or ask you to come back on the said date at which point you will be given the PCC.
k) If you need 2 copies (Sometimes you may need to file other immigration related papers for children/dependents, etc., or need PCCs for 2 separate countries), you can submit 2 forms, make payment for each of these forms, and usually the Commissioner's Office will be OK to issue you 2 PCCs.

Its in Infantary Road if going by rick or walking you can enter the main gate. If however going by car, enter Cunningham road. Second left from there (its a narrow road). ask around

You can wait for PER if PCC is not a big issue in your country. Else if PCC takes considerable time, then start now.

Hey thanks ... N I could not send my kids PPs as it took time for Psk to print it... So shall i send them now or should i wait till i get my UCI?

If i have to send it now then how will cic will come to know for which application it belongs to as they will be thousand pakages reaching on daily basis... Plz help...

Hey Guys..... I was looking for CII program and have keen interest in taking their sessions.

I just called their new Delhi office and they said that the minimum requirement of one should have received Medical request from NDVO. She said PER would not work to register. Is it so? I heard some from last year attended these sessions.

CIIP is a 2 days free pre-departure service covering orientation and planning session.

Day 1 is Group Orientation (GO) Session which last for around 9 hours with Coffee and Lunch breaks in between. Slides are shown full day by three / four different CIIP orientation officers giving Knowledge about Canadian Provinces and territories, Work Culture, Immigrant success stories, Job readiness, Job searching & retention skills, Canadian style Resume writing, Cover letters, Interviews, Licensing / Credential Evaluation etc. Each applicants are asked why they want to immigrate to Canada. Also Applicants are divided into groups and told to perform certain tasks. Appicants are also provided with question papers to test their knowledge about Canada, Communication skills exercise etc. The correct answers are spelled out subsequently by the orientation officer.

Day 2 is My Action Plan (MAP) Session lasting for 1 - 2 hours. This is personal one on one session with CIIP Orientation officer. The orientation officer prepares your Action plan and explain it in detail. Some very useful weblinks are covered in the Action plan pertaining to Skill development, Bridging Programs, Career options, Job search strategies, Resume writing, Cover letters, Health Care, Children Schooling, Living in Canada etc. Here you can ask any of your concerned questions to the officer. Your Action Plan is subsequently emailed to you.You are strongly encouraged to use your Action Plan to guide your research, decisions, and actions in preparation for your new life in Canada.

Your resume and action plan is forwarded to some of CIIP's Immigrant serving and College referral partners as per your choice of destination in Canada. You can expect to receive emails from the referral partners within 5 days of completing MAP Session.

You are also emailed "My Resource Package" PDF Guide containing useful Online resources, Cultural adaptation and Workplace norms, Tips on Resume writing, Cover letters, Networking etc.

Attend the CIIP session far in advance from your landing date to gain maximum benefit from the program.
