ok guys this might be pre-mature but asking anyway......currently I m waiting for mr, in the meanwhile I m making pcc and other stuff ready.

I was also thinking about travelling....a bit on economical side. I will travelling ONE WAY ONLY to Toronto from Karachi. the costs here mentioned are in PKR.

i have checked on the internet and found out only PIA to be the direct flight to Toronto from Karachi and charging 240000 for 2 adults and 1 child like direct flights from india and bd are air india and biman. (usually stops for refueling only).

one stop flights are emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Turkish...charging 310000, 270000, 340000 & 370000 respectively from Karachi to Toronto having stops in Dubai, abu dhabi, Doha & Istanbul.

there are other flights which are actually "fruit punch custard bowl"...u board one career, it stops on 3 to 4 places, career changed on each stop and finally u reach Toronto. typical example is like Karachi to Dubai by fly Dubai, Dubai to London by emirates, London to Chicago by klm and Chicago to Toronto by air Canada. it costs around 250000. but its an example, the careers can be different and charges can be up and down.

what should I do? I don't want to waste money on business and first class, I will only travel in economy. business or 1st class cost atleast 100000 more on avg. plus I don't want to get tired on long journey selection. like the fruit punch custard course will take anywhere from 38 to 46 hours of journey! man I will be deleted when I land at Toronto with a wife and kid!

what indian and bd members do? what route they select and which flights? how many stops and what are the charges? what if u don't select air india or biman?

also, there is one more thing, the online search service like on google or bing, they show some really cheap flights.....costing 240000 or below! but that option is fruit punch custard, there are 2 to 3 airlines involve and 3 to 4 stops and around 44hrs journey but saving are like 80000 on avg.

please suggest and advice. thanks.

These are only search sites (kayak.com and momondo.com). They actually take you to the airline or travel company website once you click to buy tickets.

And these are reputed sites. Rest assured !!

Also 240,000 is not the fare from Karachi to Toronto..You are probably wrongly looking at return fares. (Thats what I meant).

Single way fares start from 137,000. Do let me know.

Nope. Just clear prints. and no notarisation required unless its translated English/French copy.

Hi folks, Iam working as a General Manager in a firm with close to 15 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Brand Management/ Marketing. General Manager-Marketing for the past 8 months now. Now, I am a bit confused between which NOC should I quote.
0013 (senior manager - financial, communications and other business services) or 1123 (Professionals in Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations).
Iam thinking it safe to quote 1123. Pls advise.

Thank you for the answer. But I am not sure if I have understood the order. On one hand guide says the checklist should be used as cover page and after that comes the Generic. On the other hand it says the bar code pages (which are the last pages of the Generic form) should be on the top. How is that possible? : :

put the checklist on top then put ur barcode pages and then put ur rest of the app. its not that complicated buddy. relax and send it. believe me if the pages are not placed as said then it wont get rejected due to that. good luck

Hi Folks,
I have prepared the document checklist and mailed them on 20 June 2014 (reached CIC on 26 June 2014). Regarding the payment, I opted to pay through credit card and for this, I filled the payment form and included it in the checklist. With the recent RBI (Reserve Bank of India) rules (concerning safety measures), the Government has announced to replace all the existing credit cards to an EMV chip enabled credit cards. Now, I'm afraid about the situation as the credit card details which I included in the form was non-chip enabled. The new credit card number is going to replace the old one. I have contacted the bank (Citibank) regarding this and they said that the current card is valid for 50 more days(approx. upto 25 Oct 2014) and apart from that, they couldn't do anything. Could any one please assist me the right approach (what could be done from my end as a proactive step) to avoid delays in processing my application?

20th June is far away...to cover risk, send DD immediately. You loose nothing other than the DD charges!
