If VO is different then that is OK... But there are so many 7th may and earlier date applications pending at NDVO and getting MR for 8th May is really a great as well as strange news ... Overlap of dates will happen but at later stage when there are very few application pending for prior dates...At present almost 60 applications are pending for MR at NDVO prior to starting of 8th May.... Now I have a feeling that at NDVO it is kind of NOC specific...

No Bro., yet i have not received my MR from NDVO as i am May5th Applicant of NOC 2174. Strange behavior by them. Not sure what to do now rather than waiting and worrying

I just came to know from my Employer that they received a verification call from some third party verification people with regards to my employment with them. This happened almost 30 days back but my HR informed me today. I applied as a Purchase Manager 0113.

Now my question is I am a 9th June 2014 applicant and I also checked with my bank, my DD has not been en-chased yet. According to SS data 9th June applicants have to wait a lil more. So how come the employment verification happened so early. My file is still with the CIC ppl its not transferred to NDVO yet. So do the CIC ppl do this verification before fees enchantment and before sending the file to LVO..... Did this happened with someone else also.....

Please Clarify.....

Praise the Lord!!!! Finally got my PER few minutes back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Application Reached Date: 21st May
Fee Encashed: 3rd September
PER Received: 12th September

Also just wanted to share few of the minor mistakes in my application:
1. Did not put the Bar Code page on top as instructed (This should be a minor one as many people had done this).
2. My WES Report did not contain the actual year of completion of my Master's Degree. Actual completion date was 2009 but WES mentioned it as 2008. This had some contradicting details with the Background Information mentioned in other form. I however got it corrected by WES and they later informed me that, the updated report was sent to CIC
3. Also, I mentioned Arranged Employment Category in the Address but I only applied for FSW Category (NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category)
4. I only had 5 roles in my latest job and 6 roles in my earlier job.
5. My salary was not mentioned in one of the Employment letters, but I attached my playslips. I did not explicitly mention that salary is missing in the cover letter.

Irrespective of all these, I got my PER. Thanks a lot for all the support I got from this forum. I have updated the spreadsheet.

Also I have a slow internet connection today and please bear with me if I don't respond back.

As per email DD encashed on sept 3rd.

I would like to share two issues regarding my application:
1. i didnt wrote my name on Page 6 of 6 of generic application. (in consent to release information.............)
2. Selling error of my spouse's name on her birth certificate. i had sent her corrected birth certificate on Aug 21 which reached CIC office on Aug 28, however i didnt get any acknowledgement regarding additional document received.

when i pressed "validate" in generic form, I got 10 bar codes
so my generic application form of 5 pages is like - 3 pages of the form, 4th page full of bar codes and 5th page of two bar codes and my signature and date.
how should I arrange - as I have to place barcodes on the top - I have to place the 4th and 5th pages first and then the first 3 pages ?

There is no thumb rule on this one - for some doing it on their own works better and for others having a professional is best. There is no 'one size fits all' cap on this one.

I believe you would not have made the mistakes that you did had you taken a professional. So I agree with you.

Just like one can't judge an entire country based on one person, similarly there is no way to judge what works better for which person. Ideally the person show know it best what works better for them. There are successful cases either ways, and there are unsuccessful cases both ways too!

What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger!!! 8) We all learn from mistakes and I can understand your reason of confusion.

Correct me if I am wrong, last time when you applied for PR this IELTS exemption was possible if one could explain in the cover letter so I believe that kind of misguided you this time. I think around 2009 or so they made IELTS a mandate for Canada PR.

Sure! Absolutely right! It is frustrating but as the saying goes... Living and learning!
As for your question, when I applied back in 2007 I submitted TOEFL results and not IELTS and it was accepted without any question.
