guys, i was about to order WES evaluation tonight of only my MS from US University and not my BE from Indian Univ.
Now from what I hear, the MS from US doesn't qualify? Or do I get 22 points for it? This is news to me.

Can someone confirm urgently.

I need to know if I can still go ahead with getting only me US MS evaluated and not my Indian BE. Indian BE will delay the process by few weeks.

If u have the masters on specifically on these fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy then u would get 23.. Smiley Smiley

You are surely won't get 22 points. If your MS evaluated as Master, you will get 23 or else 21 poiints as Bachelor. Try to find in the website to test your equivalency at http://www.wes.org/ca/evaluations/preliminary.asp .

Note that if you separetely assess MS and BSC, it might cost you double. Two bachelor degree could give you 1 more points. In case you are tight of getting 67 and do not find the MS equivalnce result, you may opt for evaluate both.

By mistake I had the WES request form attested from the University which has US address (New York) at the footer and not of Canada(Ontario) , would that form suffice for FSW application?

I have 2 letters of reference from my last employers. Job duties etc is all ok, but they forgot to put in the salary. We dont have time to get that fixed.
Will it be ok to include translated salary slips??

Job Description Issue

I will soon be sending in my application to CIO. And I am in a big dilemma, my company has issued me the employment certificate and I have every supporting document required by the checklist. But the company doesnt issue any official job descriptions as such. None of my supervisors are willing to sign on the job description and responsibilities either. What all I have is a system generated generic job description for my profession without any official stamp.

Will this suffice or do I need to send self-declaration or is there any other way around this?

Any help will be much appreciated.

This is a serious problem lot of applicants face. I have been reading this blog since a long time and if you search on previous year pages, applications have been rejected because job roles and responsibilities were not submitted on official company letterhead. I suggest you try your level best to get from any previous employer a certificate on the letter head. All you need is one yr to atleast qualify and make sure all of the details as specified on the checklist are present.

Work Experience
For the principal applicant:
. Letters of reference from all your employers for the past 10 years.
Letters must be:
. written on company letterhead,
. signed by the responsible officer/supervisor,
. show the company's full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses,
. stamped with the company's official seal (if applicable).
Letters must include all of the following information:
. the specific period of your employment with the company,
. the positions you have held during the period of employment and the time you spent in each position,
. your main responsibilities and duties in each position,
. your total annual salary plus benefits in each position, and
. the number of hours worked per week in each position.
• Additional supporting documents may include:
. copies of work contracts, and
. copies of pay stubs.

Can anyone provide some insights on the below:

Is it ok to send two fee payment options with the number priority being the DD. I am from India and the max validity for the DD would be 6 months. In case there are delays and CIC does not process the DD in that time frame, would it be OK if we also provide CC details. I spoke with Cit bank regarding the potential international transaction. They could not commit to me that the payment will go sucessfully. They claim the compliance team does block certain high value transaction and they call the customer to verify. With my experience with government employers, I doubt CIC will try a second attempt on the card. Please advise.

6 month is long time to charge DD/CC. CIC recommends DD to have 6 month validity. So in highly unprobable situaition, CIC fails to charge your DD, they are the defaulter. Go for DD, it is safer.

I think you will be fine with the translated affidevit copy along with the attested original copy.

NOOOO!! Dont do that spend couple of days extra but get that in the appropriate format. Once the file is sent u cant do anything after that and till the time u get any AOR /PER u will stay anxious ... better get them re done at least u are sure of not getting them rejected.

I had sent my experience letters last year in haist without matching the main duties list ,performed under my NOC- 3142 Physiotherapist .
Trust me the letters i sent did mean the same thing but in other words .

My file was returned , so out of exp am advising u do not send ur file in haist .. spend 2-3 days or whatever it takes extra. but send all papers as per the prescribed format .

I opted for UPS World Express service too on 5/5/2014 and its still in TRANSIT I did it from Karachi Pakistan....

OKAAY .. not sure abt the transit time from Pakistan dear .
any ways u cant do much except waiting .....

I agree. Not all employers give everything included. If you have salary slips attached you should be good. also include a justification letter and tax statements. Good luck!

I have 4 different company letters that I worked for in the past 10 years. 2 of them were from my jobs in Canada. 2 in Germany
I have only one that includes the salary.
There is no way to get them all renewed!!!!

As per the checklist document, you can send pay stubs to support your application. Plus you would be having a offer letter from the company indicating your gross salary. In that case I do not forsee a problem. Getting letter from the company takes a while and you certainly do not have that. I would say go with what you have and provide additional documentation

When you were in Canada you should have got T4 and NOA. Just attach it and you should be ok for those 2 Canadian employers.

Yes you can apply under NOC 1212. No Mcom or CA degree required for that.

Accounts assistant is different than Assistant Accountant.
