Thanks sriramkb..I don't have any payslips. I only have the reference letter in the company letterhead. Are the payslips mandatory? I thought they were supporting docs

Payslips are not required unless the Visa office asks for it. But since it is your brother's company, there will be some doubt that you made that experience up. This is my view, but mostly it depends on the Visa Officer's analysis. So, don't worry as of now. Mostly as per my understand there will not be much of a problem here.

I had submitted an inquiry to CIC in hopes of receiving my UCI number, however after waiting 35 days I got an e-mail saying that in order to reveal UCI number I need to provide my passport number. My question is: Do I need to send another inquiry and wait for another 35 days or can I just reply to that e-mail and receive a quicker response?

Also, should I be expecting my PER this month or am I too optimistic? ;D ;D (I'm a June 4th applicant)

I think you should be able to get your CC charged this month for sure and possibly PER as well.. Or latest 1st week of October .... Best of luck buddy !!

Dear Seniors,

First of all, Many thanks to all of you

I could see you people doing really great work, not only helping forum members but also creating a positive enviornment when chips are down. Hats off

My file was received on 9th June. Any guesses as when should i expect a news from CIC, based on their current speed.

Regards,
Lalit

Hi All,

Congratulations to all who are getting their PERs! :)

I am still in the application preparation stage, and I am waiting for my WES report. Today they informed me that they will complete assessment by 7-Oct. I am applying to 2171, and I am now scared since Oct-mid will be somewhat late to apply. I am going to ask them to send the report to my brother in Canada, that should save me around 5 days of courier time.

My question being:
1. Do you know if they have an expedited service for additional payment?
2. Do they sometimes finish the report faster than the committed date?

Thank you for your advice!

Hello
Here is another perspective based on the numbers from CIC Caps.

CIC Cap update from last Monday = 2760 PERs
PERs issued to the applicants on this forum = 620 (as of today, on Monday it was even lesser)

This means that the applicants on this forum represent only 620/2760 = 22.4% of the overall applicants. As far as I understand, this is wrong that this forum represents 30% of the overall applicants.

Regards
Ali

Thats a good way to calculate but I'll give my 2cents on that:
1. PERs on the forum(SS) are always under reported at all times as we generally see people coming up a week or even two weeks later to inform PER and quite a few people lose the edit link... makes the job to update the SS tougher...
2. Do we really know that the CIC number 2760 is based on PERs or Payment charged or any other criteria. FOr that you gotta give some benefit of the doubt and allocate some %age points there ...
3. Even if my assumption of 30% is wrong, the number of applications received/day from the SS will drop in the same ratio. (64.3:27.4:16.7). Hence, CIC should pick up speed post 22nd MAy applications getting completed... and more so after 16th June applications get
ting done ....

Hi Seniors,

My application was delivered to CIC on 4th Sept 2014, I got the DD made from bank on 13th Aug. As CIC is taking about 3-4 months in encashing the DD, i want to know does any problem like DD expired arises because generally a DD is valid for 3 months(correct me if I am wrong).
Please shed some light on this.

Kind Regards,
Reet

Don't know about others
But I would definitely like to know your part of theory
Cos as per me add another odd 40 apps per week in hottest noc
Please declare your analysis

MapleTon said:
Copy that, GSW! Thanks for bringing this up :)

So far the predictions by the forum Admins holds true, the rate of cap update is indeed tapering off.

aha2174,

Could you please elaborate on your analysis? Thanks in advance.

Here is my analysis...

CIC is updating the CAP on almost every Tuesday... So although the CAP update is weekly but the date of PER receiving reported by applicants in this forum is increasing very slowly by one or two day... At present the PER is on for 22nd May or less dates.. So, in the next CAP update (16 or 17th Sep) it will remain same that is 22nd May or less...
In one week CAP update the "Application Received" date is adding up by just 2.. So in the next to next CAP that is on 24th September CAP update the PER will be on till 24th May applicants...
So, 2 days = 1 Week of Cap Update = 50 Apps increased for HOT NOCs
And till Mid June we have approximately 16 odd working days..
So, as per above calculation... By Mid June Application received... 400 more PER will be issued which will be very close to 1000 for 1112 and 2174..

Note... Offcourse this is totally based on analysis done by me and not to discourage anyone from applying..
