May I ask why you reckon 2173?
Would like to know more about the reason. Is it because it has more relevant to the software side?
or maybe related to software testing engineer? (that's what we assume if we choose 2173)

I've tried to run thru 100 pages of this thread to find answers to my questions but none. So please if you could advise me I really appreciate it.

I've just sent my FSW 2014 application to CIO under NOC 1123. I have:

2 years 8 months as Assistant Product Manager: 1123
5 months as Product Manager: 1123
1 year 4 months as Marketing Manager: 0124
10 months as Executive Personal Assistant: 1222 - current job

The thing is that I'll leave my current job by the end this month to move to a new company as Marketing Communications Manager (0124) from June. My question is: should I send this new work reference letter together with police certificate after I receive PER (hopefully 3 months later) ?

Dear All,

I am applying under NOC-2132 (Mechanical Engineer). I have 10 years project management experience (mechanical construction). I am not clear about "destination". I have no relative or friends in Canada who can guide me better. Going through this forum I got the idea of following two locations:

1. Toronto
2. Calgary

One thing more, my wife is Assistant Professor in University (NOC 4011) with 8 years experience and PhD Scholar (Pharmaceutics). Can anyone guide me which "destination" shall I chose considering job aspects for me and my wife both?

Dear forum members ,

I am Keerthi from INDIA. I am planning to apply for FSW this year under the NOC 2281.

I have few questions regarding the process:

Regarding application : I am planning on my own without the help any consultant. Is it risky to apply on our own ?

Regarding WES : Do I have to submit my 10th and Intermediate duplicates along with graduation transcripts ? How much time would it take to get the evaluation report if we pay 220$ and 550$ respectively ?

Regarding Work Expereince o we have to get the experience letters with the present employer ? Cuz it will be a problem if I inform at my work place. I have all the documents from the previous employer.
All I can provide from the present employer is the offer letter and pay slips.

Regarding NOC Cap : How can we keep a track on the CAP filled for the year 2014?

I need to give my IELTS and also get the ECA done. It will take 1 month for everything to fall in right place before I start filling my application. Do you guys think the quota under my occupation gets filled by that time ??


Kindly answer the queries that I posted above so that I can start the process soon.

Dear Seniors,

I plan to submit statutory declaration for the below mentioned requirement:

1. No work reference letter provided by ex-employers
2. No Birth certificate for spouse (not the primary applicant)

Pl note that even without the reference letters from ex-employers, I am achieving above 67 points as am providing work reference letter for my current employment (2+ yrs exp)

Will the above statutory declarations work for me? Or do you recommend any other alternative?

No need to put awards and Income tax. Other than that you are good to go

While Filling Schedule A Background Information form, in no. 8, I cannot write full name of my employer.
What shall I do ? Shall I write include the abbreviated form of the company name or write only the name how much it fits
For example the name of my company is "Feedback Infrastructure Services Private Limited" but I am able write only "Feedback Infrastructure Serv".
Does this matters ?

as per additional family information (IMM 5406) it has mentioned that complete ALL names in English and in your native language. (In my case it is Gujarati).

do I need to put English and Gujarati name in same form and in same box?

Do not write abbreviated form, instead attach extra sheet of paper and write in that.

For this reason I opt to advice you to take 2173 for the reason that your job details more on testing side, which is more on 2283 which is not available for the 50 NOC. Based from the link I provided you, I do believe that most of the job description has been done by you, I myself also is a Test Engineer and more on automation side. That's why I feel you bro. ;D
