How to get reference letter from current employer? My duties exactly match NOC 1123, but am afraid to ask my manager or HR for reference letter. I am expecting promotion this dec, this might ruin my chances if they know I have plans to re-locate..

Still - some calls are based on Judgement. If my ref. letter is on a Company Letterhead, I will send a COPY. This is clearly mentioned by CIC. On the other hand, If i get my supervisor to jot it down for me on an A4, I would ideally enclose the ORIGINAL itself.

about 90-95 days from app received date, u can inquire with ur bank regarding the encashment

I think CIC is very fair with what they are asking for whether original or copy. For employment letter which is not easy to get especially for those past jobs you left 10 years ago, no one would be willing to release the original. So, the copy is fine. For my company, I can ask for employment letter(which does not have the duties) many times citing various reasons, so I am happy to include my original with letter head. But for the letter from my manager with duties and responsibilities, I have to keep the original. You can not ask your direct report to write and sign for you multiple times.

Finally Finally after some stressful days, today morning when i checked my ECAS through my old TRV identification number ------ My ECAS has opened and Status is ----- In Process

App Rec. date ---- 15th May 2014
NOC --1112
DD charge date ---- don't know ----- My bank was going to charge me 100/- dhs for status. Don't need to know it now.

My Consultant will call me probably tomorrow i suppose, since Friday is a holiday in UAE. Will update on any updates soon.

Patience Patience and Patience and a whole lot of stress. Cant tell you how i feel now.

I don't know how to update the SS, can some one assist.

Hi @ SPICY u still there,
another case today where bank asked a minimum of charge for en-cashment enquiry...! i.e. Rs 100,
but my bank asked for $30...see so things happens for real..

Thank you namaste.. I know IELTS will be valid for 2 years but what about the ECA. If my application is rejected due to the cap being filled, can I reuse the ECA for the next application? Will the embassy return the application

These are the approximate costs that I researched

1) approx $200 for IELTS.
2) $203 for WES .
3) $85 for shipping the ECA back to india
4) Misc courier charges for sending the application

Any other costs that I should include? Thanks in advance
