guys my documents reached Nova scotia on July 31, 2014. I have applied under NOC category 2132 Mechanical Engineers. Am I safe within the 1000 cap? any idea? if yes, by when I should get a respponse.... also is there any way we can get confirmation of arrival of our documents at CIC nova scotia , i mean other than courier tracking...

Guys,
I read someone here on the forum say that the 1.000 application cap for each NOC is considering 1.000 applications RECEIVED, not ACCEPTED. Learning that if they receive 1k applications for X NOC they shut it down even if 200 from those 1k are not accepted. Is that so? That doesn't make much sense.

And also, the current - Total received toward the overall cap: 1,891 of 25,000 - info on CIC means that 1.891 applications have received PER, right?

Anyways, 31 July for 2132 is quite safe .... don't worry.......... u shud be hearing them after more than 1 month ..... check group SS for better estimate. There is no other way to confirm, everyone else app has reached saely, so will urs.

btw, i guess the reason for so much panic is that since 31st July till date u have already bitten all ur hand finger nails and having difficulty in bitting ur foot nail. point is, if u have waited for last 25 days patients, wait for 25 more mins for ur Q to be responded.

The operational target thingy is for Visa Office not for CIC .......... means these are the ones who have already crossed PER stage........ btw the last 2 word of the note are "in person", which means a P.A with 3 dependents will be counted as 4 for the purpose of this count.

P.S: Boss meeting arranged, but there is slight error in projector its flashing "April 26, 2014 MI gazette is what governs FSWP 2014" ....... shud i still book the C.R? btw CEO was asking abt u .......... i told him u r busy proving 26th April instructions wrong by showing some irrelevant "old" chart, updated on 16th April 2014 :-X :-X

Timeline:
Application reached CIO: 12 May 2014
CC Charged: 24th July 2014
PER: 25th August 2014

I have already updated the spread sheet.
I wish everyone on this forum and myself success in this pursuit.For those still waiting for the good news,I pray you receive it soon.Though it hard, Patience and perseverance has its virtues.

I want to validate data in our S/S to CIC cap updates...

1) What % of applications for NOC 2171 are updated in our S/S when compared to CIC website until today
2) I see that 132 applications are updated in CIC. How many are from our S/S?
3) If I assume that 6 apps reached CIC everyday then we still have 2 more months to fill 2171 CAP.

any inputs are highly appreciated.

Finally received PER mail.. So happy now... ;D ;D

Application received date - 14th May
CC charged date - 14th August
PER received date - 25th May

Here I would like to share my experience with you all...

In starting month of July, through this forum only I came to know that along with ECA report, foreign education credential (Degree certificate) is also required which I forgot to attached. Then I sent it by separate courier and mentioned my UCI number and other details. I was not sure whether it will be attach to my original application or not. But finally my CC got charged and received PER too. It seems that CIC people are very cooperative in this case and matched up the missing documents.

I would like to thank Ashif, Oscar 7, future_canadian, islandbabe who all have helped me a lot during entire process. Please forgive me if I missed anyone name here.
