Oye hello...don't demotivate anyone... >:( >:(

I don't know what your experience has been or will be...I have many friends in Canada who got a good job in 2 months as per their caliber...some even who were not managers here but deserved to be managers are managers now and one of friend who recently moved in May...got a job in June which was not for him though he did it to gain Canadian experience...and this Monday (18th Aug) he joined one of the best org's in the world as an ops manager....what will you say to that...this is the most recent and fresh example i can give... :P :P :P :P

It totally depends on your strategy and doing the right thing...the people who you are talking about tend to think a lot about cost savings and they will not hire consultants and recruiters which makes things possible...my friend hired 6 recruiters the week after he landed and in 3 weeks he landed with a decent job and started to earn...though he spent a few $$ for hiring them but that did the trick and this strategy was passed on to him from my other friends who are earning way higher than 50 - 60 K and the person i am talking about is also higher than 60K...you just need to relax and do the right thing...

Spend some money and be at the right place at the right time...!!! Now i might sound like a broken record...but it is what it is...!!! 8) 8) 8)

[size=9pt] If you read a post that is written on Aug 6th and ANANJAY has replied in that post on top of my post - follow all the directions there. Read it very carefully though, your document has a 80% plus chance of getting added. Message me if you have additional questions after reading that. Good luck! :)

PS - BTW, what do you intent on adding?

Thought to add an affidavit for my spouse birth certificate, in it her mother's name spelling mistakes....

Thanks...Sometimes I just loose it...I dont know why people who are sitting there try to demotivate and portray a bad picture of Canada...what they don't think is that we and other people have dreams that we want to pursue and with this level of demotivation 50% confidence breaks...and the person instead of planning his /her strategy tries to think what if questions...pathetic feeling I tell you...

They are not necessarily doing it for bad intentions. Most of them are trying to help and give faithful advice. They don't want us to suffer as they did.

Besides, don't let a six- or seven-line forum post break 50% of your confidence. Confidence is too precious to waste it this way :)

@ all floks,

Did any one applied for pcc in India. If so what are the documents required.what is the faster way to get pcc. Throw some light. ...
through Passport Seva Kendra is the best way.. I got it on the same day.. First you have to register online in Passport Seva Kendra.. then choose Police Clearance Certificate .. fill up online form and schedule time to appear in the nearest Passport Seva Kendra .. you have to pay 500 rupees online..
Documents you may need are 1) your passport copy 2) Address proof copy .. Get originals along with you

Hi, my application arrived on May 22nd, so our situations are similar... I wrote them on July 9th asking if my application arrived. They answer me today (August 20th) telling me that is arrived but no more information.
You can write them, in the site they say that you can write is you don't hear anything of them in 6-8 weeks, so go ahead.
Good luck!

Thanks for sharing! If its gonna take them a month to respond, i will just wait for another 3 weeks or so.

Hello all, How are you guys doing?

I am an old member of this forum, just visit here quite a few times and most of the times am a silent observer.

I landed here last year, got a job offer third day after that. I would like to give you all few tips and suggestions. My post might end up in the pile but who ever reads it please consider it a serious opinion from a Software tester who got a job in first week after landing.

Canada is a very nice country with peace of mind, quality living and awesome people. When I landed here I was having 5+ years of exp in automation testing. Employers here don't want any experience certificates, they just want that whatever you have written in your resume, you should really know that.
Do as many certifications as you can related to your field and gain as much practical experience as you can.
Add as many recruiters as possible on LinkedIn and get a premium account for some time.
While back in India get a Canadian number with forwarding on your Indian number from a provider like OneSuite.
Create your resume with a professional looking email address and Canadian phone number with a nice cover letter and start applying the jobs before landing. If you get a call, tell them you are coming very soon.
And regarding salary, am getting much more that I had expected, so your expertise and skills matter alot.
Dont come with an attitude that you will get a job easily, come with an attitude that you will study and prepare very hard that you will crack the first interview that comes your way.
Here the recruiters have very good networking and if you are rejected, many of them would know that in a second and will not contact you. So if you are going for an interview, be very well prepared.
You can PM me if any other detail is required and can add me on LinkedIn if anyone wants. My name is Arshdeep Brar.
Good Luck!!

I understand your point...but they have quoted examples of people e.g - "siddharth"...and when something comes straight out from the horses mouth you tend to believe it...and i can guarantee many people after reading that post were in the mode of thinking...what will happen if this is true... and instead of preparing themselves for their new life...they would waste a whole lot of effort inquiring form various sources which would not be fruitful...and they might even start to loose hope... :( :( :(

we are not "demotivating" you... we are informing you the other side of the coin so you will be better prepared in coming here... :o in that case, you will have a better plan on the what if's here...

just like for the one who got a job at $14/hr... do the math...

$14 x 8 x 5 x 4 = $2,240/mo - 12% tax = $1971.20 NET INCOME
EXPENCES: $1,000.00 (single bedroom)
130.00 (bus pass)
120.00 (MSP - medical)
50.00 (Hydro- water & electric)
70.00 Phone (necessity)
the remaining is for your expenses for 1 month... if your single, you'll survive... :o

Even one of my colleague / friend went Canada on PR in June 2014 and within 1 week he got Job in Contact center with 13 $ per hour.
I think that is good as a fresher in a new country.

Hmmm.. I am not sure this example would help make a case :D $13 an hour for a bachelor holder? :)

[size=9pt] Okay, you can follow the instruction in my post and send it. Hopefully it will be added, when was you original application received though? Scan the document and follow up over email in parallel as well.

My app recd date is 12/6/14 and if i send now it will reach by 28/8/14, now my worries is that they will treat me as 28/8/14 applicant right

Hi friends,

Can you guys confirm what was the package weight of your application set when you had couriered to CIC?

Thanks!!

Did you read the post thoroughly sir/mam...

He is talking about a fresher out of college...and we are here applying for FSW with 5-10 yrs of exp...

Also, if you would like to do the math do it on the one I gave you the example for more than 60K per year....or on the one more than 100 K per year

Some people have bachelor and drive taxis, as an immigrant sometimes you have to start from scratch again and build yourself up.

I'm lucky I got head hunted and I'm applying for FSW2
