So finally CIC declared new opening from 1st May -2014.

I have created this thread for helping each other --could be anything-form filling up,POF queries,mental support etc .

Since this year 50 category will be open having a max cap of 1000, so this will bring more opportunity to be a successful applicant for an period.

Wish every of u have a successful dream to live on the land of maple leaf country very soon..

My IELTS score is

Reading :6.5
Writing :6
Speaking : 6

Please let me know what is my CLB level?

Also, Pay Order Cheque issued from State Bank Of India will work to pay Canadian Fees or any specific bank required.?

I have to include all educational documents? Is it mentioned in Guide700, Document checklist or any forms? please reply. I am to send the application package tomorrow. I have only included ECA report with my application package.

Firstly, I got my Masters from Canada and was wondering whether I should send my Bachelor and high school degrees along with my application or not. My Bachelor and high school are from out of Canada.

Secondly, What is 2 labels address? I mean what kind and size of envelope should I provide?

Thirdly, Is there any different between FSW14 regulations and FSW13? I saw thoroughly but got nothing and wanted to double check with you guys.

Adding further, I think it is not in your best interests to be complacent and assume that you have more time this time around because the cap is larger. Gather your documents and lodge your application as soon as possible, but don't sacrifice accuracy.

I would say master's degree is enough to get points.

Write your address in work. Print it, cut it in half (address on each half). put it envelope (any size). Attach it with your application.

Few rules and couple of forms has changed. Make sure you use updated forms.

What is your NOC number? It depends a lot on your occupation as well. Some NOC numbers did not even reach their quota last year!

Got a question regarding the supporting doc.

I have mentioned the marriage certificate as one of the proof of birth in the affidavit.So do I have to enclose 2 copies of the same marriage certificate in the supporting documents ?
1. one for the birth certificate proof and another for the section 16 of checklist's marriage certificate
2. just one copy would suffice for both

Yes. Check point 13 on checklist under Proof of education.

Please let me know what to be specified as " Family name " if my childs passport is not showing any detail . His complete name is specified in the " Given Name " itself .

Is PCC needed for all dependents including kids less than 7years specified in the application ?

Hi All,

Great to be here. Thanks to all the people who take time to reply for the questions posted by newbies.

I came to know that I can apply for NOC 2174. My IELTS date is on May 17th. I am yet to prepare / collect my documents, ECA etc. Assuming that I get my education transcripts (UG & PG), IELTS score, Work experience letters ready by mid June, what are the chances of successful filing of the application?

Also, do I need the experience letters from ALL the previous organizations that I have worked for?

To All:

Please read checklist 10 time before packing the documents. Highlight every line & every word so that you know you haven't missed something. Ask your wife/husband or someone you trust to go through with you one time so everything checks out. You can't alone deal with all the pressure. Do not hurry in sending documents because its 1000 this time instead of 300.

Do not staple any paper including forms. Just use Paper clips to hold them together. Arrange documents in order of Checklist. Do not forget to put last 2 pages of bar codes (which are electronically generated) of main application on top of the package.





Do not panic if

• you have stapled and sent the package. They won't reject on it.
• you haven't arranged documents in order of Checklist and sent the package
• you did not put bar codes on top of application.
  

These steps are only to make it easier for people at CIO to skim through and verify that everything is in place.
