Guys,

Finally, I got an email requesting our passport. Could you please help me with the following:

1. Is this the correct mailing address to send our passport from USA using Fedex courier service:

CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

2. What should be the "From" address on the pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post?

Thanks

Super Congrats rssb brother....:D

Yes address is the right one.....:D

CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

2. For the Form field u may keep it blank as they have not instructed u to do so....If it is required CPC-O himself will write the address.....

So no need to think for that one......:)

Hi guys,

I have sent the application to CIC and they have received it. While reading some posts through the forum, I read that joint accounts with parents are not acceptable.

Am getting a bit worried about this issue. While preparing the application, I didn't find any source where it clearly states that for funding joint account with parents are not acceptable, especially in Canadian immigration site (CIC website).
In my case I have sent a bank statement of an account where my mother is a secondary account holder. But I am the primary account holder. Would this effect my application. Have someone faced this issue.

Please can someone tell me if my application will be rejected for sure??? What should I do in this situation???

Thanks in advance.
Jai

Dear Cian
Don't want to demotivate you
But one of my fren had similar case
Where he showed joint fd with parents and cic calculated half of the amount and his case got rejected
If in your funds .. Amount is more than double .... Then u r safe

Good luck

Hi Manthansk,

You dont have to worry much as your job code is filling up relatively slowly ... Only 42 filled as of now ... SO chill... If your application is good, yours will be accepted... !

Are the applications expected to slow down ? with the number being updated twice in 2 days, its got me worried .... Applied on 10th July for NOC 1112

Hi Guys, hope all are well and enjoying the WAITING.

Admin please update my info as recieved from CIC;

1.We received your application for permanent residence on July 10, 2013

2 We have started processing your application on August 15, 2014.

Hi Guys,

I have got PER yesterday, which clarifies that i have satisfied minimum 67 points criteria. As per me the points were 67 only

In my application i have not included my spouse IELTS, would it be worth taking IELTS for my wife now ? So that it increases chances of my applications later i.e. when the file reaches local VO?

Just incase they say that it would be good to have IELTS for spouse ? Or it's not worth taking IELTS now ??

Congrats man !! You're the only guy who's mentioned of sending application in July and in progress in August ... Otherwise everyone is talking about Early may applications as of now. Give me hope as I applied on 10th July myself and my job code is filling up fast !!

No not required at all. You already have PER which is a proof that you are good candidate for PR..

In one of the jobs I held over the past 10 years, I could not find significant matching NOC code. Shall I leave the NOC code field for this particular job blank (Q.No. 12 (b) Schedule 3-Economic Classes -Federal Skilled Workers) or should I write the NOC code even if only one word of my roles match?

Bro grooby,
It's 2013, not 2014 :)

Just when I saw some light at the end of the tunnel, a train came and hit me !!

Hello Fellow PR aspirants,

I have a few questions, and I am fairly new to this. Hoping some of the seasoned veterans can address these queries.

NOC applied - 0112
1. I have a total work exp of 16 years, but relevant to HR is only about 7 years. I have submitted 4 different experience letters, from different roles and companies. Q- None of my exp letters have the number of hours mentioned. Just not the trend in India. However, I have attached salary slips which state Regular full time. 02 of my letters state I was a regular employee, while 02 state a full-time employee. Any instances where the absence of hours has been a issue?

2. HR is a generic field, and many things roll up to HR. There is Comp, Ben, Recruitment, HRG, Mobility, Shared svs etc. Now, my duties and responsibilities only match about 50% at best against NOC listed ones. Has any one reported this as an issue?

3. I have a 3 year IHM diploma from Nat council, which got validated by WES as a 3 year equivalent from a recognized institute, but my MBA in HRM was completely ignored by WES. I know I get 21 points for the 3 yr diploma, but wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience. I still went ahead and attached a notarized copy of the MBA, along with the ECA WES letter in the application. Hoping that it build my HR skill case, but looks like they are very process driven. Also wonder if there is any subjectivity involved in the assessment.

Hi Seniors/Ashif,

Could you please comment ?
