hello to everyone

I just started to collect all my docs and my IELTS exam is scheduled on 1st of November. It means that I will be able to send all the papers not earlier than 15th of November. NOC which I'm planning to apply is 2131 - Civil Engineers. According to SS estimated # of filled apps is already 503. Does that mean that I don't have any chance to get under cap?

Thanks

503 applied in 3 and half months. So, less than 500 will apply during the remaining 3 months until mid November.
This does not even rule out the fact that there has been a huge rush of applications in May. Conclusion: If I were you I'd feel safe.

You need to get legal opinion for this. Consult a immigration lawyer. Since this is very specific and people may not have similar exp to guide you.

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to seek your advice about my case.

Can I not declare my other dependent who is 17 years old and in her mom's full custody. I have been separated with my ex-wife for almost 15 years (although not legally annulled due to financially burdensome and a very lengthy process- close to impossible thing here in the Philippines). Our situation is not good since, I don't have any plan of sponsoring her now or in the future because I'm sure her mother will not cooperate and even worse will make things very difficult for me.

Please enlighten me.

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi guys, got my IELTS results today. And it's positive, im so happy!

Can I ask your opinion here please?

I have more than 10 years work experience from 1 company, same department but 5 different positions. 1st 2 positions are for NOC 2174 (Programme), for 2 years. And the last 3 positions are for NOC 2171 (Information Systems Analyst and Consultant) which is 9 years.

My question is: if my letter will come from 1 person, and the letter describing all my job descriptions and details will be more than 1 page, do I need to let all the pages signed by my supervisor to make it credible? If that's the case, do you have a template? Ive never seen a letter with all the pages signed yet.

Any suggestions please? Many thanks.

Your assumption is not quite right. I think there are a lot more applications that figure received by CIO over the past 3.5 months, and out of them so far around 900 have been sent PER.

Hi thats not a silly question, its a question to be raised as according to CIC website there is a line "These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015. " so it might be the case.

cheers ;)

Actually this intake of FSW will last till April 30, 2015. So,there is an overlap for 4 months with the EOI system.

If any of my documents are in Urdu (Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate) and I get them translated in English, do I need to get an affidavit for each translated document or get it notarized? If affidavit is required, Can I get a combined one affidavit for all documents translated or a separate one for each document?

Hi,

I have a silly question. Is last working day of Dec 2014 the deadline of FSW 2014? Does it mean, as long as the maximum cap (25500) is not reached yet, an application received by CIO on or before last working day of Dec 2014 will still be considered?
Even though the CIC website does not explicitly state the last date applications will be accepted,it is clearly stated in the gazette by Canadian Government on the 26th April,2014.
Please check this link(http://www.gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2014/2014-04-26/pdf/g1-14817.pdf) for confirmation of the last date for which the current FSW stream is meant to end.
Page 986 of the attached gazette/link categorically states that it will end on the 30th April,2015.
This will remain so unless/Until another contrary gazette comes out by the Canadian government to state otherwise.
Cheers.

I am not talking about the total number of applications submitted. Please refer to the original post I was replying to.

Just a letter is okay signed by one person.
If signing it between your two managers will be an issue, let your HR signs it.
Your experience letter just need to state all your respective duties in the years you did them and to be signed by just one person.
Just one person is okay to sign it ....no need of your supervisor to double sign.
Just the signature at the end of the overall letter is okay.
Cheers.

Thanks so much for the reply kollin! Yes, my department head (or supervisor) will only be the one to sign my letter. It's all 3 pages because of the 5 positions with different job descriptions. I just wonder if every page should be signed also. Because cic might think i just made up the 1st two pages. ;D

Nope...they wont think as such.
Mine was like 2 or 3 pages too and it was positive.
Let him sign it at the last page.
To put your mind at rest, tell the person to just sign at the bottom of each page....just to clear your doubt and make it look "credible" :D
Cheers.
