Hi Ashif,

i have asked below Question on points for Work Experience on the forum earlier, but want to know your views as well

i have 8.5 years of work exp workin in 4 companies, and would be able to get reference letters with job duties only for 2 jobs as below:

1) NOC 1112 - 3 Years 4 Months
2) NOC 1114 - 1 Year 10 M

Please advise how the Work Exp points can be judged if I apply under NOC1112?

it will be 11 points for 3 Years 4 Months for main NOC or the total points for 5Years 2 Months making it to 13 points

however, have all other documents related to remaining duration of work experience, apart from reference letter with job duties .....any chance that i can get 15 points in this case

Don't worry man. You will get 13 points for sure. If your other experience is listed in Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations), Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), you are eligible to get 15 points. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

But you must provide evidence to claim those point.

To spreadsheet admins, I have an improvement/automation idea:

In the FSW 2013 spreadsheet all the rows were highlighted in color, depending on the status of the application, and I see the new spreadsheet has the colors mentioned at the top, but they're not used yet. Google spreadsheets have a feature to make such highlighting automatic, so I propose to make use of it.

I've made a prototype, you can see the highlighting here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Uz1B1PcWq-SYgfoS9yppS_Ca7IW2OGLZn7dsFbExfQI/edit?usp=sharing

It's so much easier to see statuses of all applications right away. And it won't require any work from admins once it's set up: the colors will change automatically as soon as someone updates their information.

If you like this idea, I'll be happy to cooperate with you to implement it in the main spreadsheet.

I intend to apply for the noc 0111. almost all docs are complete already.
Problem is I just gave birth last Apr 24. My son's govt issued birth certificate is not yet available. He doesnt have any passport yet either.

What document do I submit for him, so I can include him as a dependent?

And for that current travel of my spouse,will it cause any problem in future if I am silent about it or if I rather write till date.this is because we are not sure if the return date on the ticket will b changed and besides I'll have to submit the evidence of the month she was stamped back into the country if I put an approxiamte month and we don't hv that eveidence yet since my spouse is not back yet.the only evidence we have is a scaneed copy of the date she was stamped into the country where she is presently.thank u

2013 shows its Memphis to Mirabel(next day, weekend off) to Noffs(2 days later) to sydney(next day) so expect wednesday delivery. Good luck.

my personal thinking is that you should fill out application with him as your dependent. since there is an option in the forms to say if s/he has or not passport or other docs, just check NO. submit an additional letter stating your situation. later on, when you obtain his passport and bc, you will know if you got your per or your docs are still with the sydney office, and you will mail them the rest of his documents that are needed.
ask others for opinion too, but i don't see any other possibility. good luck and congrats on the baby! )

Sorry to read tht u missed it. They send by regular mail. And will return after they start opening the applications which I believe will happen after mid of next month(per last year). Last year, my application reached them in july first week and I received it back in mid Oct coz of cap. I wish they r lenient for u on tht form and it gets processed. Try seeing 2013 forum to know timeline for ppl who submitted in initial days and missed sign etc. Good luck.
