My NOC is 0113 - Purchasing Manager.

In this website, http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0113

I can see under "Employment Requirements"

The designation Supply Chain Management Professional (S.C.M.P.) or registration in the educational program of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada may be required.

What does it mean. It means that should I register with SCMP before moving to Canada... ??

For your FSW application, CIC does not apply the "Employment Requirements" section of the NOC. Only the job duties (including lead statement) are important.

However for the purpose of finding a job in Canada, you may wish to contact such professional organizations and familiarize yourself with the profession as it is practiced in Canada.

Doesn't look like CIC received 2,350 applications first half of may if they only got 887 applications until May 13th or so as per their website updated yesterday. The question is when will 1112 and 2174 (top 2) be filled this year? Last year when cap was only 300, they were announced filled by CIC on August 21st although as per SS the last applications accepted were delivered to CIC on May 27th.

Lets remember updated number of applicants on CIC website are most likely those receiving PER, We have not considered other applications that may have been rejected or being delayed for further investigation.

Total Application received in Spreed sheet are approximate 30% of world wide application received at CIO.

According to this:

Total Application received in Spreed sheet from 1 May - 15 May 2014 = 705

Total Application received World wide from 1 May - 15 May 2014 = 30% + 70% = 705 + 1645 = 2350

Hi Experts, May 19th Applicant:
I could see few of our friends got rejected due to Job duties not matching and not meeting the Passmark. I have 21 Points on Education, 12 on Age, 24 In language, 5 on Adaptability and 9 hoping I will get 9 on experience as I am showing on 1.5 years of exp in NOC1112 and remaining 3.5 years are of financial services but doesnt match with any CIC mentioned designations. In total of 62 Points excluding experience...The duties doesnt match exactly it looks only partial match..I am worried .will you please let me know your thoughts..

I don't quite understand this question. With the 9 points you will get 71. And actually you should be able to get 13 counting your 3.5 years in another type of job, as long as you provided the reference letter with your job duties and that job was at NOC skill type 0 or skill level A or B. So you are worried about CIC concluding that the job duties don't match 1112? What job duties were in your letter? The thinking among forum members is that 60-70% match is enough.

Sometimes they do, yes. It would be the local VO doing this.

that is incorrect. Read the Guide and document checklist again and double check to ensure you have correctly filled out all forms. The address is a simple matter, better double check all the rest of your documents!

Thanks Oscar for the advise. I was reviewing the spreadsheet and still see that there are some 1st and 2nd May applicants which either have charged CC/DD (but no PER) or their application is sitting idle at VO. I would like to know if the data represented in the spreadsheet is accurate.

i have another question: i'm from china, i had been administrative detention for the reason of purchasing fireworks in Jan 2013, i planned to use them in my wedding ceremony. i know it's not criminal, coz i got a non criminal record from local police along with my application. i'm still wondering if CIO is gonna reject my app based on security reasons? can anyone tell me please, thank you so much!!

Very unlikely. However you should make sure you answer all questions in your background declaration form accurately.

Need advise please. I am May 14th applicant and recently renewed my passport. Do I need to send copy of my new passport now or just update CIC or the Visa office when PER have been received and files have been transferred to visa office?
