I am 8th May applicant and DD is not en cashed till today, am I out of the game if yes when can I expect my packet back. What is CIC's ID from where I can get status of my application?

The POF shown in the application is necessarily a snapshot as of the day the statement/certificate was obtained. This is why local VOs often ask for updated POF or several months worth of statements to ensure that a person really has the necessary funds and their financial situation hasn't changed since the time of application. Re-examining the applicant's funds due to exchange rate fluctuations might be part of the evaluation or it might not; nobody has come forward with an actual case to tell us. But we do know that other items such as IELTS are evaluated as of the day the application is received, even if the result expires while the application is pending. CIC might treat exchange rates the same way; we don't know.

Your opinion is based on "observation of facts" but fails to take into account variables that CIC might consider given what we know about their procedures. Therefore you are needlessly scaring people.

Actually we have more money in the same bank...but in the bankers certificate we have mentioned 8 lks nly n the receipt of the same..How can I add more money since I have submitted the bank certificate of along with application already?

Dear Thoras.... there is a reason why they ask to mention the exchange date and time in the form at the time you fill the form of your proof of funds... that you have submitted the required funds at the time of your application.. now if the market falls or goes up is not your concern nor the CICs as long as you can explain later at the VO if at all they ask...cheers! dont worry.. all the best!

Proof of settlement funds is required at EVERY stage of the process, even when one lands in Canada for the first time, he/she would need proof of funds. Do you mean to say an application won't be refused if it fails to demonstrate availability of sufficient funds at one of these stages? I would disagree. Besides, the "variables" you're talking about are purely your assumptions in my opinion. I'd need information a valid sources to believe any one of those variables or evidence from somewhere that CIC would send in a request for additional documents instead of refusing application at PER stage when application fails to demonstrate availability of required funds, or something similar on an objective criteria such as when applicant does not have sufficient IELTS score.

The point is we don't know what CIC will do in this case so until we know it is cruel to tell someone their application will be rejected. You don't know that it will be rejected and I don't know that it will be accepted.

Future_Canadian, I did not say that his/her application WILL be rejected, I only said it's likely but nothing can be said with 100% confidence by which I implied that there is "fair" chance of it getting rejected. In any case, application is now with CIC, there is nothing that one can do so there is practically no reason to worry or to feel comfortable based on opinion of a forum member. After all, this is a unique scenario and one can only hope for a favorable decision from CIC, and be prepared to resend application if the situation is otherwise. My best wishes are with him but I do not want him/her to sit comfortably and not be prepared in case he needs to resend his application!

can anybody tell me that how many days cic takes to complete a single day applications? currently it is may 12th applicants...how many days they take to move to next date? so that we can calculate our time...july 4th is mine

My application reached on 7th may,,, still awaiting for DD encash confirmation from HDFC bank.

HDFC People are bloody Lazy its been a week long i have put in request for DD status... no response yet.. even after followups..

can any one help with the details from where can i confirm abt DD status by HDFC mumbai.

I do have UCI number also but status not found on ECAS..

Worried .... Still in the Race Or.......

my application was received on 7th May by Mike and haven't been charged my DD
My category is 2132
Its been such stressful situation
need to know your views on serious note
whether i should understand this situation as No from their side? why its been taking ages....too long time taking....its been 2 months and 24 days passed

hii friends i took DD from indusind bank....i have copy of my DD. is there anybody took DD from the same bank...i just wanna know that will they provide the deatils of encashment?
