No not offended at all...wasnt taking it that seriously...but HOPE u r not riding high if newbies r asking fr guidance and dont assume urself a priest that is providing reassurance services. Was only looking fr some idea frm experienced people.. CIC Cap Status link provided by cjg1987 was very helpful i guess that gives me some idea how fast this category is filling up...anyway do try James Wan movies that might work as well, tarantino might be just too soft in comparison.

Your post suggests otherwise. So I shall stop now.

One last thing - Eli Roth > James Wan.

You sound offended. Sorry if you are.

You have already applied right? The question of yours is basically asking for reassurance.

Otherwise - it would have come up before you filed and not after.

Statistics are at your disposal my friend. Spreadsheet and CIC Cap Status. They speak volumes.

As for 'sadist pleasure' - I did watch a Tarantino Movie yesterday night :D.

Guys,

If I am attaching an affidavit, it should be original right?

[size=9pt] Dear Experts, From the one sentence in purple below it seems transferring money between India and Canada is somewhat taken care of, plus one can have an ICICI account in Canada as well.

I believe guys in Canada / US can shed light on the below:

1. I can relate to the experience of using money2india / remit2india from the time I was in the US to send money to India, so the above mentioned service of ICICI seems pretty much the same. Am I right?

2. Have you heard of ICICI's presence in Canada - how good is their presence there? I would imagine they sure can't be present in every nook and corner (as they are in India) so can't compete with the local Canadian banks in terms of services.

http://www.icicibank.ca/default.htm

It might be a little too early to ask all this considering even the PER is not yet here, but never hurts to get an opinion. Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

what about the birth certificate from CGI, copy is suffice or it also must be original

Well - That's a tricky one.

Does the CGI document say "Certificate of Birth" or is it a "Birth Certificate" as the one you get from the CMC Dept in India ?

I believe they only issue a "Certificate Of Birth" (which is like a PCC) in which case I would have attached the original because you can always get the document reissued and its not much of a big deal.

If it is however the Birth Certificate - then copy only.

Well, it doesn't say anything except "TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN' and the details of the date and place of the birth as per the passport

hence, I have taken a affidavit from parents re, the same. So I guess I will attach both original

My suggestion - go for the original then. This is not exactly a birth certificate.

That may not convince the VO since the colleague is no longer working in the same company in the first place AND you cannot attach a business card. Do you have any body else who can provide you with a stronger case?

2) On the stamp paper do i need to type or hand write it? Type it. Most Notary public type.

Thanks,

Hello,

The problem here is, the company i worked for is a contracting company who deploys people to client location and we do not have a email address given to us by the contacting company and for communication purpose we use the client email address.

My offer letter does say that i will be working at the client location and the company name is mentioned on the offer letter and the person who is ready to give me the email with my roles n responsibilities does work with the same client.

Thanks

Oh Okay. That makes more sense.

Make sure you include the statement that the referring person is a 'Client' with whom you have worked in the past.

But try to get a Business Card attached because it reaffirms your case a little more.

Good luck!
