Please either read carefully what CIC has asked on these topics (probably you already know the facts) or take help from reputed professionals in this field. If you plan on taking major bypasses / detours it will cause a negative spin on your case. You can't be borrowing money from family or getting reference letters from colleagues for all 3 of your employment cases, especially from colleagues that are no more even in the organization now. It just adds risk. BTW, which NOC are you applying for?

I will get reference letter from my current company where I am working, but from the past two companies, I cant. So what I am planning to get a reference letter from my superiors who worked there, (now they are not there) with their business card and relieving/offer letter. Is it fine?

Regarding funds, It is not a fund I am going to borrow. Its a money which my husband is going to get from his property...(sold out). Is it ok? should we show the proof of fund as well?

Guys,

I have seen many discussions on Proof of fund and that the local VO may ask for a 6 month bank statement. If one has shown only a FD statement as POF (which is not linked to any savings/current account in that bank) at the time of application and has several bank accounts (none of which is shown in the application and one of these accounts is a salary account) then will the local VO still ask for 6 month bank statement? If yes, which account(s) - Salary account?

Hi, I also used a fixed deposit and I'm not aware that VOs ask for account statements from FD holders. All they may ask for is evidence that the FD is still running with the bank. A simple letter from the bank that the funds are in place will suffice. Cheers

Yes, you need to provide a translation in English and get this notarised.

[size=10pt] From what I know (and I am also constantly learning) it is advisable to get reference letters from seniors who are in those companies now, even though you have left the firms. We have discussed this here in the forum as well, and here the same conclusion was drawn. A successful immigration personal very clearly advised against taking reference letters from someone who does not work in the company now. What will they sign their designation as, think of it for a moment?

How would the above seem to the CIO guys? And should they now attach business cards of both ABC and XYZ? If I were the CIO guy I would be thinking something's quite fishy, no senior from those past firms could validate her roles and responsibilities is what comes to mind. I could be wrong here, just sharing the concerns one might have.

You need to send proof of funds at the time of application. Is the money already there with your husband in the account now?

No. He is going to deposit is next week. We have just got the cheque...

One more thing, what if the case if he works in the same company, but was not a manager/supreior of mine...can I take his reference...

Since we now confirmed that there is no May 7 PERs yet, do you think CIC changed policy on giving PERs? I am thinking if this was the case. Like maybe they want to issue PERs, Medical Request, etc. like what CPP-Ottawa is currently doing?
