1. Cap anxiety for 2132: last year against 300 cap, it took more than 8 months to fill cap. Against 1000 cap, pls do predict yourself.

2. Air Force officer: No where mention working in arm force cause rejection; at most, they may go for intensive background checking.

3. Pls get enlisted in the spreadsheet and help others.

If the measure of cap filled was based on their update on CIC website, it may appear as more than 8 months because it takes a while b4 they update. In reality, they have many applications that we are not aware of. I know 1000 cap seems high but better to make haste as some NOC's will still get filled by Dec 2014 by my reckoning.

Sorry, I misquoted - not 8 month but 3 month. It was 8/12/2013 (MM/DD/YYYY) after which files were returned. The date format always confuses me :-[ :-[

Hi Sanjeev, I am VERY worried about your case brother. On careful examination I don't think even your first NOC 2132 letter is a good one, though being a power plant mechanical engineer I see what you have captured is just fine. The problem though is you are only putting a mechanical engineer hat on, and not using what I call 'common sense approach or a layman's approach' to this exercise. Drafting a good reference letter is as much of an art as it is to actually be a good fit to the NOC in the first place. Your sentence structure, key words etc have to be similar or at least be able to catch the complete essence of the NOC guide sentences. When the NOC guide has put so much verbiage on the responsibilities you can't just have only short bullet point items and hope to succeed. Some people have had 3-4 pages for reference letter, and that is even better since it goes to show that one does a LOT more than what is asked here, but of course includes a lot of the points from the NOC guide. As far as my fear on your case is concerned, please be prepared for the worst if you are still not understanding the gravity of the situation and are in a hurry to get rid of your package. I hope my fears turn out to be false, but at the moment I see it otherwise. Good luck!

PS - No wonder so many packages return due to reference letter deficiencies. Seems like a lot of our friends just don't seem to get it. Just wait and watch how many cases return due to this very issue. I am very openly raising a RED FLAG for all those who are still working on their reference letters to not take this lightly. And trust me the only reason for me to do this is for your own good.

Thanx for reply, i know my NOC didnt match with NOC 2132, but my other 2.5 yr. experience, & Duties is as follow
 3D- Modeling & component engineering of Turbine parts in Solid Edge V20 including sheet metal.
 Design Hydro Turbine power plants components, fixtures and equipment to use at Site.
 Responsible for Linear Static Structural Analysis for Power Plant fixtures uses for testing purposes on site & works using Ansys WB
 Making design and technical specification for an integrated Hydro Power Plant for the client.
 Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for turbine and components,
 Co-ordination with internal departments & supplier to meet deadline of projects
 Inspect the Erection and commissioning of mechanical turbine systems For construction sites

to gain experience point for remanning 4 yr, i wish to claim against NOC under which following duties lies,
- Work Closely with Customer and Maintain relationship and provide solution,
- to lead onsite team and deliver projects to success by maintaining project critical parameters,
- co-ordination with onsite & offshore team to meet deadlines of projects
- resource allocations and work-load forecasting for team members
- integration of onsite & offshore
- Capability/Competency improvements by knowledge transfer.

So wish to know under which NOC i can claim above duties

Dear Future Applicants:

Before submitting your application, do the following last moment check: Most Frequent Errors​

• Ensure counting all the pages of form.
• Ensure writing your full name at the last page of generic form.

Work experience in IT for 20 years. We applied under NOC 2173. Have 6+ years within the last 10 Years.
We think about applying also under NOC 2171. Just wondering if we need 6+ years experience also within the last 10 years in order to get the 15 points.

No, my hunsband is 50 years old, so no point for age. We need 15 point for experience.
So is it 6+ years within the last 10 years or longer than that???
