dear ashifee and other

regarding my earlier query abt my ECA my WES report on my CMA qualification said 2 years of professional study i came across this on cic site:

important information. Before you apply, refer to the table in Appendix C to confirm that the outcome stated on your ECA report matches one of the assessment outcomes identified in the table.

The following fictional examples will help you determine what you must submit with your application to the CIO in order to receive maximum points for your education:

If Fatima studied outside of Canada and obtained a foreign educational credential at the Bachelor’s level, but her ECA report indicates that the foreign credential is only equivalent to two years of post-secondary study in Canada…
Then she would not meet the minimum education requirement and her application would be refused because her foreign educational credential was found not to be equivalent to a completed Canadian educational credential.

appendix C http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/ECA_table_EN.pdf

none of the given assessment outcomes matches mine ???

does that mean i cant apply????? plz reply anyone

You will have check the box as you are sending Indian PCC, but regarding FBI clearance just attach a cover letter mentioning that you will update your file as soon as its available.

So if someone has lived in USA (for last 8 years) & India before that, they need multiple police certificates and FBI clearance (is it at national level in USA or are there state based police clearances required)? How painful is the process?

Hello all,
You all are doing a fantastic job.
I am alsoapplying this year.

I lived in the united states for two yearsas a student before coming back to india.

I have got the pcc for india and have applied for the fbi clearance.

Can i send the indian pcc now and the fbi clearance later?
If yes, then should i check the pcc box in the checklist? And include a cover letter for fbi clearance.

I will be grareful for suggestions...

Thanks...

You can send your Indian PCC with your application if it is issued less than 3 months from your application filing date and fbi clearance later to your visa office.

Include cover letter for fbi clearance as explained earlier.

In Document check list you can write "Partial"

Schedule-3 Form Confusion Clarence

Say some one is holding the position as Service Engineer under NOC 2132 (Mech engineer).

He did another Job five years back with another NOC 2133 (Electrical Engg). He worked as Production Engineer. By this NOC experience he want to apply.

So for

12 -a: "Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements:

Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133

12 -b: Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application.

First occupation : Service Engineer NOC : 2132

Second Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133

Here is the CIC guidelines for Schedule-3:

Question 12
Your work experience

a) Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements. Choose one occupation from the list you provide in your answer to 12b).

b) Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application. For each occupation:

I hope u can now clear by reading this post.

So in this way, will i get 9 points for 1-2 years of my work exp. or complete 5+ year i.e. 13 points. As both my NOC's are not same and Primary NOC work exp is only 1-2 years

On 12b. I need to indicate my current job follow by my previous occupation. I'd like to ask that I should leave the NOC box blank or I need to put 0015 ? Then for follow with my desire NOC 0911. Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Bro,

1. U have to put ur current Job title...on 12a
2.put the NOC if u know that..so put 0015...

and then follow ur desire NOC...

yes u will require both if the below condition meets u...

CIC tell:

"Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country."

For US, u will require national level-tht means u need to give FBI report (18$ will require). I applied for my wife since she is on there...
It took me 6 weeks... :)

U can apply from below for US PCC:

Hi to all ,

My question is for those who used the credit card method of paymet last year

what is the name reflected on your credit card when cic charged you? because I would like to notify the bank of my credit card to anticipate a charge of 550 CAD under the canada immigration (the specific name it was charged under) so that it will not be turned down by system if ever.

thanks a lot!

As far as I know, no bank would filter transactions based on beneficiary names. Just call your bank and tell them that you want to enable international transaction on your card and set the limit almost double than what you are anticipating to be charged.

FEW TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION

1. Use all the updated forms on CIC website. (wait till 1st May CIC working time for the Application package containing updated Application forms, Instruction guide, Document check list, Fee payment form etc on their website)

2. Read the Instruction guide thoroughly. Fill your forms as per the instruction in Instruction guide.

3. Read the Document check list thorougly. If you are unable to provide any of the requested documentation, include with your application, a written explanation with full details as to why that document is unavailable and any documentation that would support your claim.

4. In the Document check list, It is clearly specified what documents you have to submit Original and what Photocopies.
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by: the original English or French translation; and an original affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and a notarized photocopy of the document that was not in English or French as per the Instruction guide. However, as per the document check list, If your documents are not in English or French, you can send a notarized photocopy of the English or French translation with a photocopy of the document that was not in English or French.

5. Choose your appropriate Visa office in Generic form. Remember CIO, Sydney- Nova scotia is not a Visa office.

6. Don't leave any section/box blank in form. If something is not applicable to you then write "N/A" instead of leaving it blank.

7. Question No. 12 a. on Schedule 3 form: The primary NOC code is that particular NOC code you are eligible in out of the 50 eligible NOC codes. The primary occupation that you will fill in form should preferably be from the "Example Title" as listed in website for a particular eligible NOC code and your job duties must match with the eligible NOC Code. However, if your occupation is not listed in "Example Title" for a particular eligible NOC code but your job duties still matches with your eligible NOC code, you can still try your luck by mentioning that occupation which is not listed in "Example Title" as your primary occupation.

Your job experience letter must show the same occupation (job designation) you are filling in primary occupation of Question 12.a. For example, if you are applying in NOC Code 2132 ( Mechanical Engineer) but your job designation is "Thermal design Engineer" then you should fill primary occupation as "Thermal design Engineer" in Question 12.a. and provide work experience letter showing "Thermal design Engineer" as your job designation with job duties matching with NOC Code 2132.

The primary occupation you are filling in Question 12 a. must also be listed in Question 12 b. as one of your occupations.
12.a. Thermal design Engineer : NOC Code 2132
12.b. Thermal design Engineer : NOC Code 2132

8. Additional Family Information form: In section A of the form, Applicant is mentioned, not Principal Applicant.
Fill two seperate forms for Principal Applicant and spouse. In the first form, Principal Applicant is the Applicant and provide all subsequent details asked in form. In the second form, Spouse is the Applicant and provide all subsequent details asked in form. You have to fill one form only for one Applicant in English, write All names in native language as well in the same form.

9. Get ready with IELTS - General Training version (for you and your spouse), WES, PCC (PCC can be submitted at later stage also), Proof of funds ( 6 months bank statement, balance certificate from bank) and all other docs mentioned in Document check list.

10. Job experience letter must also cover job duties matching with your NOC (but duties should not be exact copy & paste from website), your designation, salary, period of employment, working hours etc and should be on the company letter head duly signed by the competent authority with company seal. Also include Appointment letter / Employment contract, Visiting card of the signing authority, Salary pay slips if available.

11.. You can use bank draft (6 months validity) or credit card but if going for a credit card option, fill the details of credit card correctly on the Fee payment form and don't forget to sign it. You must inform your bank of the upcoming transaction so that your cc payment doesn't get blocked for whatever reason.

12. Before handing over your application to courier, check again if you have included all the updated application forms, photographs and supporting documents as per the document check list.

Wish you the best in your application :)

Hi Rawdah,

Thanks for this compilation. But so far I haven't understood to the full that why the job responsibilities cannot be copy pasted from the website. Like in my case I provided these responsibilities to my employer for guidance and my employers have used the same and have added my technological terms in between so that they are specific to my role that I had performed in their cos. I did that to make my and CIC life easy and to reduce ambiguity to the extent of non-existent. But now I have been hearing that responsibilities should not be copy pasted.

Have you heard any case getting rejected because of this?

Regards,
Monu

Critical!!

Brother,

U have informed us earlier abt ur WES equivalency that:

"CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMERY
2 years of professional study"

But the example u have provided, she did bachelor (either 3/4 yrs) but her ECA report indicates that the foreign credential is only equivalent to two years of post-secondary study in Canada...

From the above statement i understand who has completed his BSC (after his post secondary) has degraded education equivalency to only two years post secondary education...Even he have not BSC level equivalency from his education...So in here he has large scale degraded equivalency...may be his institute is unknown/lower educational courses...

But in ur case-its 2 years of professional study.

So u have much more better equivalency...Its professional (repeating)

So in my guess u have not to worry...u can take more comments also...:)
