Good Afternoon,

I am writing this to find out if I am eligible to apply under FSWP for 2014. I am a civil engineer with masters in Civil engineering from University of Western Ontario, London , Canada and 1.5 years of work experience in Pakistan as a civil engineer. I am currently on Post-grad work visa till 2016 but not working under occupation 0, a or B currently.


I have a confusion if I am eligible to apply under the work experience of civil engineer for 1.5 years in Pakistan from Canada?

Query Regarding Form IMM0008_3e

I have worked under one NOC since start of my career,but with Four different companies.
i understand section 12 a) will have that NOC number

Now while filling section 12 b),Should i fill My NOC and Main duties , Time period with Particular employer or
I should fill only one section with NOC as mentioned in 12 a)+ Main duties and total period starts from first Job and ends this month.

Say some one is holding the position as Service Engineer under NOC 2132 (Mech engineer).


He did another Job five years back with another NOC 2133 (Electrical Engg). He worked as Production Engineer. By this NOC experience he want to apply.

So for

12 -a: "Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements:

Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133

12 -b: Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application.

First occupation : Service Engineer NOC : 2132

Second Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133


Here is the CIC guidelines for Schedule-3:

Question 12
Your work experience

a) Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements. Choose one occupation from the list you provide in your answer to 12b).

b) Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application. For each occupation:

total 53 without education , i need at least 14 points in edu to meet the 67 mark criteria if i get the 19 marks for my old wes evaluation do u think i can make it without the new evaluation. please advise i dont wanna miss this time

hi Guys,
I have two urgent questions, please give me your opinions.

First: Will there be new forms for the new FSW 2014 or we can use the current forms on the website??

Second: Can we submit the application today, or we shall wait till 1st May to see the new instructions and forms (if any) ??

I am confused if the change is only in the new caps and eligible occupations, or there will be new instructions, forms and checklists.

Section 7 of form IMM0008ENU_2D regarding "Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)"

I am applying for NOC 2131 and intend to settle in Alberta

Could you please tell whether we need this certificate?

as per CIC guide

Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?

Check the corresponding box
If you checked “Yes”, please indicate the CSQ number
If you checked “No”, indicate the date when you applied for your CSQ
Note: If you are applying for refugee protection, check “no” for Question 7a and leave 7c blank.

Do i need to apply this certificate?

If i don't select anything, 7 b) and 7 c) is Grey.
I asking this question, because we cannot leave any section blank.Blank section should have N/A.

I have a question regarding the "Use of a representative" form...
I used a consulting agency for last year's fswp and i assigned the representative of the agency. Unfortunately, i was not able to reach the cap limit.

Right now, i am planning to do my application all by myself,. Do i need to fill up the "use of a representative"form to CANCEL my appointment for last year? Or i don't need to?

I have few doubts regarding FUNDS...

1. Can I show the funds in my Wife's name?

2. Can I show my Fixed Deposit receipts?

3. Can I show my Provident Fund details? If so, do you have any idea how to get the PF details (receipts)?

Please advise buddies....

In Guide it says:
Note: On your envelope, specify the category under which you are applying and the primary
NOC 2011 occupation code you have identified on your application. Rather than NOC code you wants to apply under.
