Hi all,

I have applied for PR under the FSW-2014, I sent all papers with the initial application except for police certificates, for now my application has been put into processing, as I'm resident in KSA the police certificate here can't be gained without presenting a letter from the immigration office as explained in the CIC website "on how to obtain the PC", however I have managed to get police certificates from other countries where I have stayed longer than 6 months, my question is, should I send the available police certificates to the immigration office and then send the one from KSA later or should I wait until they send my the mentioned letter to get the PC of KSA and send them all together in one parcel. Appreciate your advise.

Hi Yazan,

I think that you were suppose to send complete documents including PC from other countries.

But now it is better to wait tell they send you the request letter for the Saudi PC obtain it and then send all together

You should wait till the request made to you. Try with your PR letter to obtain PC from KSA with a cover letter to minimize the time constraint. hope they will respond in your favor. But again you have to wait till the request made to you from CIC or from your local visa officer.

medicals done on 20th/28th feb (from my spouse) receipts sent on 11th march and still no update !

I suggest you send all the available PCC's. This will make sure they can account for all the PCC except KSA which can be sent when the request comes. Good luck with your processing.

I don't see any rejected reason after medical and RPRF fees have been paid. VO has put lot of efforts in reviewing your documents and approved for granting you a visa. If in case he has any doubts an interview can be scheduled. Unless you are found to be a threat to Canada (security or medically), I don't see any reasons for rejection.

Think on positive note and spread happiness around you

Until now in FSW 2014, I haven't seen any rejection reported on the forum..

I have seen a case where after RPRF payment, VO carried out physical employment site verification. They found some discrepancy so they refused the visa with a ban!

But that's rare and would affect only if one has lied about something in his/her application.

The average timelines are 45 days for MR after 2nd line update. I suggest you wait till then. It highly possible that they are waiting for some info as during this time they do background checks and employment verification check etc.

Toms...that is really weird...I had the same situation but I was lucky. My MR request was sent on 27-Oct and I did not come to know until 27-Nov. It was sent to the wrong mail id(1 additional alphabet at the end).The expiry date for the MR was 14-Dec and I literally scrambled to have the doc's ready and sent by 13-Dec to NDVO.
So these are the things I would request you to do ASAP:
- Did you check your spam or junk folders properly? (Just to double check)
- Very if your email id with CIC is the right one?
- Call the CIC helpline to see if you can get a status
- Raise GCMS (You will need someone in Canada to do this)

Employment verification is done for all applicants. For a random few the rigor is very high (think it as an audit). Most of them are verified through a call. In some cases they can personally visit. They also do background verification by sometimes having someone physically come and check.

Hi seniors

Plz help in resolving my doubt
My friend who is the PA ,his wife's passport is of Pakistan
It gets renewed every year from Indian embassy as she lives here Since 25 years
Now once they got their passport renewed this time
The pak embassy guy created a doubt that for Canadian visa you need a
Printed passport , whereas from India they issue only handwritten .

Is this the actual case ...?
He said if u want to get the printed passport you need to go to Pakistan
To get it issued .

Plz help as my friend is quite worried
