Hi ,

What is the best way to carry your funds (Proof of funds) to Canada .
I think they check it at the airport. So how can they be showed and in which form ?

Somebody told me to open an account in Scotia Bank and show the account statements

Either open an account with a canadian bank and show the account statement or carry them as Travellers Cheques

My wife's X-Ray test is pending and rest all formalities are done (Hospital has sent medical to embassy and I have sent draft and documents).

Now when can I expect 3rd line on ECAS? In few days or after my wife;s medical is also completed?

After receipt of your wife's x-ray test. Till then no third line update.

processing started on nov 8
Update schedule A form declaration requested on dec 2 to be submitted by jan 31
After that till now i have not heard anything from cic.
i have alredy sent an enquiery about the status and intimation of updated docs.
Are they still processing my file or shall i apply for Express entry.
seniors guide me.

If your ECAS is still active there's nothing to worry about yet. I know it's hard to be patient but that's where we all are right now.

Yes v both r in d same boat ! I submitted my pp on Friday ! Abhinav consultants, Delhi told me it will take 2-3 weeks to get back stamped visa.. Wen did u submit ur PP?? Let's connect for other topics .. I plan to land in Canada early may.. I have the same concerns as yours.. Job & living ... What places are u considering for living ? Have u heard of Milton ? Is it a good place to start off ?

We have submitted the passports for stamping today .... hopefully with 3 weeks will get the passports back

Collected the passports from VFS (was delayed due to Holi-day on 6th ).

Visa is just a travel document used to fly to Canada. You become permanent resident WHEN landed not at the time of the counterfoil issuance. The permanent status is valid for 5 years. You can maintain it by living in Canada for two years out of five or apply for citizenship after four years of residence.

Hi People

Finally we have received the canadian PR visa...

They gave it to me in 3 working days (i attached a letter requesting them to hasten the process giving them a valid reason with a proof).

Now i have another question, we live in Ireland but the passports were stamped at the NDVO. Can we leave for canada from Ireland or do we have to go via India? Also, can our jewellery go in the goods to follow as e don't have anything here in ireland, if yes then how much time do they give us to get the goods to canada and whats the procedure?

Any help is much appreciated. We r planning to land in July mid.

Dear Guptaa ..
Nothing to be offended, but how come being you being from Abhinav would make the difference in doing research along with Abhinav pals only ? You can discuss with any of the forum members to do the research regarding experience at Canada.

By the way my consultant too is Abhinav only.
