Dear Friends,

I am a regular follower of this forum and i have an question i applied in NOC 1114 .

My file reached to CIC on 9 Sept and got PER on 20th Jan waiting for MR.Now i have total 10 years of banking experience and presently working in Bank as BM.

I have contacted some of my friends who are there in CANADA since last 4 to 5 years they have not given me good feedback about job market condition in Canada they said survival is not difficult but it is tough to find the job in your field and they also told that opportunity is not much and there is an stiff competition for the same job.

I dont mind to face competition but visa verse we should also look for better option .In India we generally get Average 10 % growth year on year and when i ask there they told avg growth is 2 % in Canada.they also told me that my work Experience of India will not consider there and also my MBA which i have done from here is also not suffice to get managerial job over there i have to start from scratch they told me that i have take some professional degree from Canada for getting good job. Last they all are agreed that life in Canada is very good in term of your children education and your personal life.

My question is that i am 35 year old and i am planing to go along with my family i e wife and daughter is it a wise decision to go there in search of good life over there and ls guide me what should i do to get job opportunity from India people are saying that it is very difficult to find an job there because i have very limited resourced for survival and i also have some existing liability like home loan etc in India which i have to manage both.

Kindly guide me regarding consultant or jobs portal through which i can start applying for job.
Thanking you all for reply.

i just click on the IN PROCESS link on the ecas ::) and a new line was added there....second line was......"2.we started processing your file on feb 26/2015".....under the first line....click on IN PROCESS link on your ecas.... ;)......and it means that your background checks have been initiated..

Ahh ... now I cracked the code. Right now there is one line stating that "we received your application on so and so that". Second line added means that "we have started processing your file". I assume that by this time they have transferred file to local/remote visa office for background checks ....

Thank you, mate!

hello sir........finding a job in one's field is indeed difficult but that does not mean its impossible......my sister went to canada in 2011 as a permanent resident and she was a financial manager.....but upon landing she had to struggle a lot...but then she started doing a course and finally got a job after almost a year.....during this time she worked as a laborer in textile firm but now she is working in financial sector.....so I would say go for a part time course when you land and start looking for a appropriate course.....as far as job sites are concerned....canadian job bank is there and a few others are....canadastop100.com http://www.canadastop100.com/ carrierbuilder http://careerbuilder.ca/ Beyond.com Careers http://www.careersearch4jobs.com/Free/Default.asp and the good old craigslist http://www.craigslist.ca/ ......but it totally depends on your luck....

Hi Friend,

Almost most of us are in a similar situation.
Think about it, if you were hiring a mid level position and got someone who has immigrated to India with no prior domestic market experience, no network, education credentials that you have no clue about, what would you do?

Same is the case when we migrate to Canada. We have have the knowledge but we need to give time to fit in.

As you are banker, look for bridging courses which will help you get an edge in the market there. Once you are at the MR stage, you will get a CIIP invitation, attend it to understand it much better.

The industry is bifurcated in regulated and non regulated jobs. If yours is regulated that to be able to work in it you need to certify in courses relevant to you area. Hypothetically courses like Canadian Securities course etc. Try to get that clarity.

Dynamics in Canada are different, different inflation, different cost of living and so on. Prep your self to stop the comparison with your Indian lifestyle and currency equivalent conversions.

On your NOC, why would Canada identify it as a immigration NOC if they had the resources to fill it up locally? Give it a thought. Competition is always there and that's what helps an employer get the best out of the lot.

Finally, don't expect miracle results. You may and probably will have to slog it out initially and should be prepared to pick you a job to meet ends while you follow your dream job.

All the best and trust me when I say, this is the best thing to happen if and when it happens. Now that you are in it, make sure that you see it through till the end.

Hi,

Some few friends have received emails from VO concerning submission of social security and tax documents and also detail of past 3 month of bank account balance and turn over stated initially in settlement fund documents, around 2 months (more or less) after their requested documents submitted, RPRF paid and medical received by VO.

How common is this? Is this going to be a normal procedure? or it's just a random double check to find out officers mistake or possible frauds committed by applicants?

zhobeys, this is not a standard for all files.
At times when the VO is not convinced and feel the funds are not sufficient of they are not unencumbered, they will reach out to the applicant for additional documents.

Seniors,

I have queries as follow:

1. My application status is "In process" and received PER. There are three options to check "In process" details and I clicked third option (Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia). How I will know about 2nd line update?
2. From which email id I should expect AOR email?
3. What is the average time to get medical request from local/remote visa office?

Will appreciate if you can reply.

Dear Deltario,

Thanks for reply. The thing is that I've never heard of a second update document request! Those guys were standing by to receive their PPR and shockingly they got emails asking for complementary documents. There were 4 people who got similar emails (fund detail, insurance and social security).

Could this be a random inspection to evaluate officers mistakes or frauds by applicants ?
