Guys Need your inputs:

1) Indian Resident
2) Work in India
3) My organisation sent me Dubai for some office work
4) Tourist/Single - Short - Visa was from 11th Jan to 11 March (landed Dubai on 15th Jan).
5) Today my office ppl sent me to Oman (Muscut) from Dubai via Bus.
6) At the border control while exiting UAE, office told me that i OVER STAYED BY 3 DAYS.
7) They informed me that visa is only for 1 month regardless.
8 ) I was shocked. They told me that you need to pay fine Dirham 540. Which i paid and got the exit and permitted in Oman.
9) Penalty which i paid was a) Entry Permits Expiry Penalty Humanitarian Case (320 Dir). b)Leave permits Issuance Application (Dir220)
10) I spoke to my admin team and they have messed it up and also my companies Travel agent.
11) I got my PER this month and I am worried that this event may cause prob in getting Canada PR.
12) You recommend to notify CIC or NDVO.(my vo is not been notified yet)
13) HELP

It may not be necessary to do anything. It's a judgment call. If the VO eventually asks for updated information you should certainly explain. You can consider raising a CSE with your VO explaining in detail the situation and how it arose through no fault of your own. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Yes you can bring your paperwork to any e-medical enabled provider in the world and it will reach the system just the same.

Hi, I am a June applicant and completed my health assessment in the last week of Dec but 3rd line is still not updated on e-CAS, my visa office is LVO, please advise...

I am also june applicant and got my medicals in December last week.... after no third line update for more than a month, i sent a CSE to my VO....after five days, i got the third line......
So my advice to you is to raise CSE to your VO.....

Absolutely right..70% of the time, PR holders are not asked for Settlement funds on landing, but if you happen to be among the rest 30%, and if you do not have valid POF, then you may not be allowed to enter Canada. Why take a chance and miss out after so much of efforts already put in to get the PR ?

This is adding to so much of confusion. Today during a discussion, Palakpatel and Simarwali seems to have confirmed that you dont need to carry full POF. But this post seems to suggest otherwise.

Goku, are you suggesting that we can carry as much liquid as we want but we need to carry the proofs of the rest and that proof may be still invested somewhere in parent country like fixed deposits etc.

Hi All,

I am in a freaked out situation here.
I just realized that I missed to read the point (d) in Schedule A which talks about visa rejections and ticked NO.
I have had visa rejections in the past and I am not sure what I can do at this stage.

PCC and Medicals done.
RPRF encashed on 20th Dec.

Is it too late??? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Read the last few pages prior to your post, others have the same issue. Raise a CSE with your VO, attach a new schedule A, and fully explain as necessary and that it was an unintentional oversight.

Explain to them that you left your job and what you are doing now. Don't leave any gaps in time. Get a letter from your last employer if you can.

Correct.. liquid cash not necessary. POF is fine, but not in parent country......

Hi.

I applied for PR under FSW. My application was received Aug 20. I received PER on Dec 8.
My app is from US. So I suppose it is being processed in Ottawa.

Anyway, thing is I haven't heard back since PER.
Meanwhile, I have received PCC, and also changed employer.

What should I do?

Please advise, friends.

Wait for some communication from your VO then raise a CSE giving details of your change of employment. Just hold on to your PCC until they request it, then send it in as instructed.

Limit is 10,000 USD cash I guess. You can also carry travellers cheques.
But one can always transfer money in a Canadian account for higher amounts. thats allowed. Carry Proof of this transfer.

There is no limit on how much cash you can carry into Canada. However if you carry $10,000 or more, you must fill out a form declaring it.
