For your 3hrs layover wait, you don't need to apply for a transit visa as long as you are not leaving the airport during the 3hrs.

Congrats brother

I hope everyone has the same feeling as you do now.

When travelling to the USA you must have an ESTA visa even if it's just for a layover.

Good luck and God Bless!

I'm awaiting MR from LVO, and have tried to predict when it will come. Perhaps a slightly academic exercise, but something to keep the mind occupied :)

1. Out of 713 LVO applicants in the spreadsheet, 340 have received PERs
2. Out of these 340, MRs have been reported by 96, and I estimate a FURTHER 55 have received MRs but NOT updated the spreadsheet (these are people whose last spreadsheet was prior to 1st Oct)
3. For those who have reported MRs, the average # of days since PER date is 67 days, and the standard deviation of this is 29 days
4. Assuming this is a normal distribution, 68% of applicants should MRs within 96 days of PER (1 std dev), and 95% of applicants within 125 days (2 std devs)

Attached spreadsheet shows this data filtered for LVO applicants who have received PER, and sorted by PER date. For those MRs which I assume have been received but not updated in the spreadsheet, I have filled the MR date as "Likely received" and shaded those rows similar blue to the MR cases.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DGF2-u34r3ilp-Cvuy--pA_bsk3hiLhil0Zq4Xq9U1c/edit?usp=sharing

Simply great!!! You deserve +1 for this sure ;D

When did you send your documents i.e. Medical completed receipt along with other docs.

Hi,

Reposting. It has been more than a week, since I completed the medicals and still the 3rd line update doesn't show as "Medicals Received". Bit worried. Should I contact the diagnostic center?

[size=10pt]REPOSTING! SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY OR ADVISE

Hi! Need some advice. I received my MR and Request for PR Fee on January 30th. Now, I lived in the usa so they have requested police clearance by FBI and also home country again. As you all know everything needs to be submitted within 2 months. My medical is done already.I have started processing for FBI request. however, their new lead time is now 4-5 months. Also, fee I will pay through Demand Draft for which CIC says cannot be more than 2 months old. So I am really confused, but I planned out something like this:
- Jan 30: received MR and fee request
- FBI: start on Feb and expected results in June. SGVO will probably get my mail by end of June. So thats definitely more than 2 months
- Local Police report: Send to SGVO around March(within 2 months of request) since its validity is 6 months. So it will be valid till August by that time FBI report will be with them.
- Demand Draft- When do I send in? Even if I send in late march according to CIC letter it will be considered till late May only. My FB report will still be missing then. Has anyone faced this before? Why does CIC says 2 months when most demand drafts are valid for 6 months?

Is it any useful if we send i query? Where do we send in query to SGVO?

Buddy , write this to your Local Visa office that the waiting time for FBI clearance is 4-5 months , then they will increase the time line to submit the docs , if you havent submitted your finger prints then do it on priority so taht you can save the time .
but informing your visa office should be your first step then when you submit your finger prints after 4 weeks you can ask for your file number then you can mail FBI they will give you the time line and forward that mail to your Visa office ...but inform them on priority basis .

Hi All,

Just wanted to share my excitement and enthusiasm as have booked my tickets now. Will be leaving India in the second week of march and visit London for a couple of weeks and will carry on my journey to the Maple leaf country. I will be travelling from London to Toronto via New York(JFK), with 3 hrs layover. Just wondering if I need to apply for the Transit visa for me and family??
Can anyone share their experience please?

Many Thanks,
Harry

Hi Bro,

No you don't IMHO. Check the UK DATV Visa requirements here->

https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/y/india/transit/yes

However double-confirm this positively with a travel agent...

Safe landings and do update us on your experience...:)

Hi everyone.

Posting after a long time.

I wish everyone who is waiting eagerly for the next step to get a good news soon.

I just got an email from CIC and have already updated the spreadsheet accordingly.

NOC 2132, CPC-Ottawa
Application submitted : 11th August 2014
PER email received: 30th November 2014
PCC/RPRF request: 02nd February 2015

My question is that I haven't received medical request, but they have sent RPR fee request though. Is this a standard procedure ? Shall I expect a medical request later, or consider it to be waived ?

Regards

Hi avk3884,

Which diagnostic center you have appeared for your medical tests. Usually they will take 3-4 working days after the medicals are completed to upload your results to CIC.

Check with your diagnostic center by providing your IME number given on the medicals sheets fwd by CIC in medical request mail.

Cheers,
Prarthu

Thanks Prarthu. I got the check done in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.

I will check with them tomorrow.

Thanks a lot. How do I inform visa office? In my MR and RPRF request email they only shared this link
https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=singapore

Is there any direct email address for Singapore visa office?
