O Canada!

I see you as a light in my dreams, killing my heart!
Patience suffocated me and I have no air for the wait!

I see on this forum people's cry and others' joy
Just tell all YES come here you girl and you boy!

Welcome them warm, never fail their hope
They are your future, your flame, please nope!

I waited for you months and months to come and hug you
Embrace you and feel the liberty within you!

PER came but the dream has come never
I pray for the people who received NER
Be gentle; give them a chance, no despair!

For the first time, I am well and I am calling a Doctor
Come check me, tell me I am healthy and stronger
To pass the exam and be a new arriver

Brother and sister, never weaken, for your child and daughter
I see a future for them that is nice and brighter

Sir, please put on my passport a stamp!
Give me a try, give me a path and hand me a lamp

Let me lighten my way, I know first months might be harder
I will not fail you, I am full of courage, hope and adventure!
Very good poem. specially I liked the part
For the first time, I am well and I am calling a Doctor
Come check me, tell me I am healthy and stronger
To pass the exam and be a new arriver

Thanks diplomatru, then it is a better option just to get married after landing. Otherwise,
even the application of the main applicant would be at stake. thanks

It's always a better option to get married before landing. I encourage your future spouse to do an upfront examination now, so that you can upload the eMedical information form by yourself when he/she is unavailable.

Hi Guys

I have a query , my friend sent 2 credentials a bachelors degree and a diploma for WES, WES came back as bachelors 3 years equivalent but for diploma its says :eek:ne year of post secondary study at a non recognized institution.

Will this be considered as 2 or more post secondary credentials for Express Entry.

Sorry for asking in this forum , but I know forumites here are much more experienced and knowledgeable ;) ;) ;)
Only the bachelors degree of 3years from WES will be considered by CIC. Since the diploma is from a non-recognized institution, hence, not considered..

Actually we plan to get married but my concern he is also waiting for his assignment as a seafarer. Can he be under medical examination in an accredited hospital even if there is no request yet for medical, is that what you mean by upfront examination? where can i upload the eMedical form? Thanks

We are planning to get married after MR then inform VO about it.

Dear Seniors,

anyone reported rejection after CC charged due to old application forms??

pls answer my question ...
For this FSW2014, i believe there were no reports of rejection due to old forms used. Since the updated forms has minimal changes here in there, thus, not that a big factor..

Hope this helps ;)

Of course, he can. Ask for upfront examination (UMI) and collect the eMedical information sheet when the file is uploaded to CIC. I suggest getting married before MR and sending all documents ASAP, because this way CIC will start assessments of the spouse now, which will save time.

Thanks so much Diplomatru. Sorry, I have another question. So he will be an unaccompanying spouse in that case, then what would be the process for his visa stamping if he
decides to go to Canada? Will he be required to undergo another medical or the process will be easier?

Every stage has a different scrutiny parameter. Application may be rejected at any stage. However chances are much lesser after PER issuance.

In simple layman's terms,
First step is completeness check where apps are checked to see that all docs are in place.
App is charged on successful application.
First line in ECAS is updated.
Next is eligibility check where apps are checked on the basis of the 6 eligibility criteria and points calculated.
PER is issued after this if app meets CIC standards.
Next the App is transferred to the respective VO either by hard copy or electronically or both.
VO then does app scrutiny one more time, background check and security checks.
2nd line in ECAS is updated.
If applicable, applicant may be called for interview.
Then MR is issued subject to satisfactory completion of background checks.
Applicant undergoes medical tests with panel physicists.
Once positive MR results are recd by VO, 3rd line in ECAS is updated.
Security checks if any are done.
Passport request is sent to applicants.
4th Line in ECAS is updated
Applicant sends passports to VO / embassy for stamping
Passport is signed, stamped with COPR and sent back to applicant
Applicant has to complete landing formalities within 12 months of MR..
+1 Sir for the concise and detailed summary.. ;)

You need to submit both passports at the same time for stamping. Can't he leave his passport with you? Seaman have special maritime passports, don't they?
Medicals are valiad for 1 year since completion.
