Also got confirmation from CIC / VO both via emails.

It is required in some cases for those who has been in Canada or are currently in Canada. Not required to submit it with initial application but later have to submit it if asked by CIC.

Dear adritth, Congrats on ur PER and as you have rcvd ur PER.. be patient and wait for some time .. it will normally take 50-60 days to rcv MR..now enjoy ur self in Waiting Club with updates and information from our seniors and friends.

Sao Paulo Visa Office
Application Received: Nov 5th, 2014
Credit card Charged: Jan 8th 2015
ECAS indicating "In Process" appeared yesterday - Jan 24th 2015

Hopefully PER will pop up anytime soon!

Hello Friends,

I am 13th November 2014 DD Applicant.

Update from my side.
My ECAS came LIVE this morning.

Its showing " IN Process " and on clicking it " We received you application on 13- November-2014 ".

I know its Good News though the bank has not confirmed yet that the DD is encashed.
I will inquire tomorrow as Today is Bank Holiday.

Dear vjanjua, as you have ur PER in hand, in that mail u can notice ur UCI number on the left. Use that number and go to CIC.gc.ca, go to application status and PR applied from Outside canada, FSW. thn u'l be asked to provide ur UCI, First Name, DOB and Nationality. then u can see your Status and it will now be showing in process.

click in process and u'll get your status into details.
