Hi,

Can anyone speculate that whether CIO/CIC will increase it's speed of opening application parcels OR they will become slower after starting of the Express Entry?

Moreover in these days which date applicants CC/DD are being Charged/en-cashed? Whether it's beginning November applicants or end October?

Regards,George,

Every month, Attorney David Cohen will answer a few general Canadian immigration questions submitted by our readers. Here are this month's questions and answers:
I am an Indian national. I do not have a birth certificate, because there were no provisions for this at the time of my birth. What sort of documentation can I provide to satisfy immigration authorities in lieu of a birth certificate?
Citizenship and Immigration Canada will accept secondary, matriculation, or school leaving certificates as proof of birth. This is provided they have the following: your full name, your date of birth, and the name of your mother, father, or both.

I too did not have my birth certificate and was advised by myour lawyer (in Canada) to submit a sworn affidavit signed by the magistrate with my application. Following his advice, I filed my application in August 2014 and received my PER in Dec.

I would earnestly recommend all to submit a sworn affidavit in lieu of a birth certificate even when the school certificate may have worked in some cases.

How this helps.

Here'so wishing everyone a fantastic 2015 with each one getting whatevet we wish and desire.

I have submitted by rprf fee on 17/11/2014 but I have a doubt here.. DD prepared was from HDFC bank but I simply told them to prepare DD in favor of "Canadian High Commission" in indian rupees but I didnt mentioned them that it should be payable at New Delhi. Will this create a problem?????... I have not received PPR till now nor ECAS is updated with forth line.

PLEASE ADVICE...

It should not be a problem as long as it is in Indian rupee. Just check in the DD copy whether there is any other Bank's Name. For example, My DD is prepared by a local bank but the name of corresponding bank is Royal Bank of Canada as it is in CAD.

I don't think your DD will have any corresponding bank in Canada. It should be fine. If instructed nothing, the bank will make local DD by default.

It is difficult to speculate. To me, CIC is working even Saturday and Sunday (found many PER and CC news). So they are working in full throttle. Unless additional resources are not recruited, processing could get slowed up if some officers are deployed for EE from FSWP officers.

I heard is security check stage ...
what is this stage ???

What they check in this ???

They want to ensure you don't have any link to any extremist group so that it pose threat as a country to Canada. May be the VO keeps list of people and organisation and if they found any connection to that, they will reject it.

I never heard anybody rejected for security check. So don't worry on this.

My application received date is 23rd July.
I am 22 nd July applicant 2171 and i got Second Line update on 26th saying they started the processing of application on 23rd December 2014.

Its a humble request whether somebody can take up the activity of updating and continue the trend of having the Last Charge for CC/DD, Latest PER, Latest MR,Latest PPR and Latest PR.

Whats the estimate on the time required for MR after PER?
Thanks in advance.
