Hi all,

I have my UCI number with me .. but the ECAS status shows nothing at all.. Kinda worried .. could anyone please help me with what could this mean exactly.?

I am a 14th Oct applicant DD mode (international cheque) NOC 4151..

Please help!

ECAS is not always updated after charging. Some people get it updated after one week of PER.

Most probably your one has been encashed but not yet updated. So wait till you get PER. No inference can be made from this.

just one last question

if the file is been returned back then does the ECAS status show anything? And what are the chances of getting PER or DD encashed after getting the UCI number..

hi guys,

I am back on forum,Just for ur information i got my whole package back through surface mail from cic on 13th december stating that my husband's date of bith certificate is missing.I has sent his tenth mark sheet as he do not have date of birth certificate.So now i have again sent my application with affidavit sating that he does not have records in birth and death registrar and my application is recieved on 22nd december.

The package i got back with all forms marked with pencil and they have written UCI number with pencil.I printed new forms with same UCI number and sent my package on 16th december which was recieved on 22nd december.

Now my question is will they take 100 days to check my application again or they will start from where they left it?
Also i made DD again and the previous expiry date was in janurary.

Now i am just counting on GOD.
Please send me link to update SS.

Very hard to believe, many members on this Forum reported that Even an SSC certificate is acceptable.
I also had the same problem, i had send my affidavit along with my application but was not very sure if the affidavit is signed or not.
As i had actually three copies of drafted affidavit with one signed and two unsigned and was not sure if I have submitted signed or not to CIC, many people said me that 10th Certificate is acceptable.
However now I have submitted revised affidavit again after 63 days, but not sure if they consider my revised affidavit or is my file already way back, kindly advice what do you think did I realized the problem very late or CIC may be consider my revised Affidavit after 63 days also.

Hello Friends,

My current passport has my surname as blank and my given name contains my full name( first name + surname). In my application forms, I have entered my surname as not applicable so that it matches with my passport.

Now my passport is due for renewal and I would like to correct my first name and surname issue. Now if I do that, will it be a problem since my application forms have surname as blank?

Am confused, if I should correct it now or get the new passport without surname. Changing my name now might invite delay in my processing time right?

Could you please guide me?

My suggestion, get it corrected by now even if it get delay. If you don't rectify, all the cards (SIN card, health card, driving card, your employer) and everywhere in Canada you will called with your mistaken name. Later on, it will be very difficult to change all those documents.

Friend, that is somehting I have been trying to find out an anwser. What do they mean by second line. They have just opend our file or have they done with paper verification . I see an average of 10 days to get MR once the Processing started updates appears.

If this message indicates just the opening file, why do we see some of the june guys not getting this message

I am confused. I checked the CIC manuals but intrestingly they don't say much about

I am leaving this to rest of the team to guess it

second line update means dat local visa office will start processing ur app and at dis stage dey will do background checks, paper verification and all this kinda stuff.
idk why oders dont get this line update but sooner or later everyone will have dis line update in status and then MR.
and i heard from my frend dat if at once VO doubts ur app den dat processing may take 2 or 3 months to get MR.

Hello Everyone,

My "Decision Made" status was updated on 20th Decemeber. But I'm yet to get my PPR. I know last PPR was issued on 24th and after that NDVO has gone on hibernation.

My concern here is if I'm reading my case correctly. I am not panicking but just wanted some reassurance that I am on the right track.

I m at 16 june applicant and got my PER on 15 OCT, waiting MR.
what do you think I should wait for the MR to come first n then communicate to VO regarding this, or should I send them a apology mail right away

Is it mandatory to send a scanned copy to VO.

I too have paid the RPRF online, filled the remaining details and sent a physical copy to NDVO.

I too have only sent the physical copy along with other Documents ( Medical receipt , passport Bio pages) but have not filled in any details. Just mentioned the UCI no. on top of the receipt. Is it ok or do I send another copy after filling the details? Courier was received at NDVO on 22nd dec. but no third line update so far . Little worried ?

My applications was received on 11th Dec. I too have submitted only 10th certificate with no affidavit. Does that mean my application will be rejected.

There are two cases.

Case one: Application is found incomplete. In that case, no ECAS will be updated. It will be refused.
Case two: Application is found complete but later on found not complying with Ministerial Instructions. In that case, applicants ECAS could be initially updated but later on could be found either "Decision Made" or ECAS become vanish.

For both cases, UCI is generated. My guess (not looking into spreadsheet), around 15% file is rejected. So when someone apply, chances of going through is 85%. After charging, possibly 98% chances of getting through.

The below is my opinion on this:

Could be.

If they find it out before MR, VO may convict you as misrepresenting. If they don't find it, you will get visa.

Again, after you get PR/Citizenship, if authority find it out, they may cancel your PR/Citizenship. If they don't find it, you can stay in peace.

If you now inform them, they may doubt your whole application and would delay the processing - but I believe, VO won't be able to convict you misrepresenting.

So you have to make your own decision. If I were you, I would send a apology letter and inform the true status - it would relieved me as long as I stay Canada.

Thanks !! I hope its positive .. Cause i got my UCI number around 8 days ago and ever since then its the same .. As already 14 Oct applicants are getting charged was a little worried ! Hopefully i get through.
