One thing I am certain of - EE is NOT for single applicants.

Still..., spouse doest add much overall only 40 points max and still wives will need to assess degrees , higher score in ielts band + CE .. not much different being as a single applicant ;)

Getting Ready to Launch Express Entry

In-demand immigrants’ applications will be processed in six months or less

December 1, 2014 — Ottawa — Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander today confirmed it’s one month and counting until Express Entry launches a new phase of active immigration recruitment to meet economic and labour market needs. Potential candidates can create their profile on January 1st, 2015, with the first Invitations to Apply issued within weeks.

Express Entry will help select skilled immigrants based on their skills and experience. Those with valid job offers or provincial/territorial nominations will be picked first. Details published today in the Canada Gazette explain how candidates will be ranked and selected, based on these factors that research shows are linked to success in the Canadian economy. Research shows these criteria will help ensure newcomers participate more fully in the Canada’s economy and integrate more quickly into Canadian society.

guys be ready to say goodbye to FSWP2014 on Jan 1, 2015!

Hi everyone,

I have some questions regarding the form " Schedule 3 Economic Classes ":

1) In question No. 3b , Did your employer obtain a confirmation letter ( Labor market opinion ) from employment and social development Canada ( ESDC ) ? YES or No ? NO

2) In question no. 7c, Is your accompanying spouse or common-law in partner proficient in English or french ? ( I am applying alone , without any spouse, therefore what to answer ? Yes or No ? ) (NO or N/A)

3) In question no. 9b, If applicable, has your accompanying spouse or common law in partner worked full time in Canada for at least one year ? ( As, I mentioned above, I am applying alone without claiming the spouse , Yes or No ) (NO or N/A)

Please advice ..

Hi friends / Seniors,

My application is scheduled to reach at CIO on 2nd Dec..

My agent have sent the application to;
Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2
Canada

Without mentioning FSW category and NOC code along with the address which i think is mandatory..

Please guide or share your experience on the above matter.. thanks

I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't write NOC on my application and my CC got charged.. i haven`t received PER though :P

I found the opposite! They are giving a special rank for single applicants so that spouse's points don't need to count.

Also, you have to be young... I'm 32 and I don't have max points on age anymore.... FSW gave max points to age up to 35.

I notised that the highest number of points a spouse can give for the principal applicant is only 40 points (for language, education and work experience). Anyway, the principal applicant who is single will get points for his individual abilities higher when compared to that applicant who is married or with a conjugal partner. If we sum up all of these, there seems to be no noticable effect of the principal applicant's marital status on the total sum of points! I mean being married will not give you a special treatment, nor will it reduce your chance of admittance.

So what would your score have been for EE ?

About 420 if I'm not mistaken on a quick check.

I already suspected IELTS would be a major factor so I'm retaking it next weekend.

Hi Friends,
Guess I am late to this forum..However would like to share my info with you. My application for FSW under 2173 reached CIC on 9th June 2014. After a wait of 3 months, on Oct 6th I received the PER !!! Since then I am awaiting a correspondence from CIC. Any clue on how long do I have to wait for MR and the other proceedings ?
Seniors and experts, pls help me getting the info. Shall I wait for the mail from NDVO or write to them as its already 55 days since PER is issued.

Is harder for spouses now.

Not only you need an ECA (WES must be really happy!) for both, but the IELTS must be really high too. Before it was much easier.

Thank you for your reply , But there is no blank or space where we can type N/A , as it just provides the boxes to tick for YES or NO ... Then, how to type N/A ?
