Thank you all for the words of encouragement @ layorrh 12, ed- b- good, sambade, christamario ( please don't be offended if I didn't remember you). Heartless and insensitive was what I also described the consultant when she sent the mail. I did not even respond to her. 50k for what? Anyway, I'm exploring other means of getting it.
@ funshiba, I can only imagine how you feel at the moment. I wonder why they suddenly went silent again. Even to mails! Let's keep trusting God. He never arrives late. It will end in praise for US ALL

My own experience with Agents. Has a law firm based in Canada. Charged me $4500 USD from d time I filled in the application to medicals. His customer service was zero, he talks to you as if he is doing u a favor and as if he held the key to enter Canada. When I wanted to fill the Planning for Canada session form on line and couldn't bcos some of the fields were not displaying, I called him and he said I have to pay him bcos I was eager I said ok. He tried and couldn't not knowing it was a browser issue. The next morning I saw a bill of 80,000 naira in my email that I should pay it to his naira account. I called him and gave him a piece of my mind. I sent a mail via courier to Accra to pls communicate with me directly and ever since it has been speedy. I believe with gud advice from seniors here and as we share our experiences with God on our side, all our desires will end in praise. Shalom. Be patient pls.

Many thanks to all the seniors in the house with their unending flow of advice. Neyobash, you too try as per the pick up, many thanks. Good luck to all those still expecting.

Congrats Uddy.

Don't be a silent observer again o. Two good heads are better than one :)

All the best in the next phase.

Congratulations Uddy, please come out from your silence. If PH, TBABA, others had been silent, we won't learn anything on this forum o. ;D

Please this is for landed seniors: What is the relevance of international driver's license? Is the regular NAIJA original plastic driver's license sufficient to exchange for CANADIAN's equivalent or there will be need to also present the international driver's license. A source informed me some things cannot be achieved without the international license like purchasing a car

The international driver's licence is not relevant and not useful. Just come with your ordinary, genuine, FRSC issued driver's licence and if you can, get a letter authenticating the licence and your year's of driving from FRSC though this is not a necessity. I've bought cars here, no dealer asked me for my licence :) How is that their business? Are they going to be my co-pilot? ;)

Hi bolaopemire,
An addition to what PH said....
You can't exchange your ::) Nigerian DL with a Canadian one.... (for where?), there's no exchange treaty btw the 2 countries. The agent at their licencing office here that attended to me said emphatically that Nigeria is one of the "problematic" countries (exact words) to verify the authenticity of our DL and/or cover letters. Your IDL will enable you drive before you start processing your license. Holding 2 licences is also not allowed. Not sure letter from FRSC will help much unless they can verify themselves that it is from Nigeria's licencing body.

So, if you are coming in for a permanent stay, just sit for the knowledge test and if your original Nigerian DL can be verified,(some are lucky to have that done) I was told I will be approved to do the road test immediately to qualify for the Class5 graduated driver's license instead of the class 7. And then , I won't have my Nigerian license back. Don't bother about IDL.
My experience and opinion.
