From what he has stated, his wife is not affected; meaning that she has her visa. It is the unborn baby that is of concern now. I strongly believe that if this family had communicated well in advance to AVO that their baby's delivery is very near, they would have delayed the issuance of the visas until their baby is born. That would have enabled them to get his/her passport, fill the necessary applications and submit the needed supporting documents, make payments , all for the baby. It would have been seamless. It is now a very dicey situation. She can even put to bed today or this week.

That is also possible I think, but the stress of sponsorship I hear is tedious and time consuming (2-3yrs) and moreover there is a line on the PPR mail which expressly states that "you should not attempt to land if there is a change in your family status", for people who's spouses become pregnant during the processing stage. the best alternative is to wait and inform AVO about the birth of the child on time, make sure that within 2 weeks he can gather his new POF for the new family size (i.e if they initially submitted POF for 2 persons now they have to submit for 3) and all their passports, including the child's passport for submission to AVO and conclude the processing it may take between 6 weeks to 6 months going by the trend of some people on this forum.
