There are several network carriers here, but basically the two groups are are the main carriers with the contract type plans and the non-contract type. When you get here you will have to check the carrier that has a greater network coverage for the area you plan to stay and pick a plan that is conducive for you. I give God all the glory, honor and adoration. To my surprise, MR just rolled in for me and my wife. Thank you all for your encouragement and advice.
Following the MR, I need you guys to advise me on the following;
1. I reside in Qatar, and my wife recently joined me, is it advisable to do our medicals here in Qatar, or we will have to go to Naija? If we do it in Qatar, can it cause for questioning from AVO, more documentation request or delay? Did you notify AVO of your residency in Qatar? If you did then it is possible to do your medicals there.
2. Do I need to book an appointment for the medicals. Yes you do
3. My schedule is a little bit tight at work, so if I will have to go to naija, how long will I need to get the medicals done and confirm it has been forwarded to AVO to prevent coming back to naija for any other thing The medical examination is usually concluded in about 3hrs depending on how early you arrive at the clinic. If there are no retesting, it should be uploaded within 5-8 days
4. What are the possible documents (I hope not) that may be required by AVO so as to start working on it if I will eventually go to Naija It depends on what other document requests that AVO sent along with your MR, if they didn't ask for any other documents then you have no problem. However if you have not notified them about you Qatar residency then you will have to fill another form IMM5669 for you and your wife stating your new residency status in Qatar, update your address and include a cover note when sending the form by courier.
5. Which Clinic is fast in processing documents All are capable
6. How much is the cost of the Medicals for me and my wife Between 28 - 40k depending on the city and clinic in Naija
7. What other information can guide us at this stage Just be youself and be truthful to all questions and do not hide any issue in your medical history
8. @ Tchnolee, Tbaba and all other resourceful seniors, what is it about the discussion of eating or not eating before going for medicals.

Hi canadamyplace, for the proof of funds she should proceed as recommended by GENTLE ANDREW, however she has to be very careful when collecting the info for her children here, because what they are looking for really IS PROOF THE CHILDREN ARE HER'S and not kids she wants to help travel to Canada, so she has to prove to the VO beyond all reasonable doubt that they are hers.

Though the documents collection seems straight forward, she has to be careful about the dates on the documents that they correspond and there are no date breaks in any of the documents. If by chance the birth certificates are dated more than a year after the birth of any of the children, she should provide evidence to explain the cause of the disparity.

Pictures should be chronologically collected and labelled i.e her and her spouse with each and all of the kids from birth to present age. She should include at least 7 pics for each of them and the pics must be the originals not copies. She shouldn't worry about sending them the originals for they will return them back to her when they issue her a pick-up request.

NOTE if her explanation is not satisfactory she and her spouse will be asked to present a DNA test which is not cheap and result in further delays, so she should try and provide as much evidence now as possible to prevent this.

We are now completing d Assessment of your Application for the a permanent resident Visa it appears that you may not meet d requirements for immigration to Canada in the skilled worker category.
