In my opinion, you can't say simplebabs shouldn't apply all in the name of saving 7k naira or max 10k naira of police report.
everyone needs to get a police report. as they do security check and background check.
some people got ppr+rfrf request +MR, while some were asked for this documents one at a time..
our cases differ. the question should be if simplebabs sent his initial application to cic with a police report and if yes, what month of last year was it issued, so we can calculate if its still valid for one year. if no,simplebabs better rush to get it ready in advance.
we need to be proactive rather than reactive when dealing with AVO.

Please my great people,I need your urgent advise on landing.
My wife resides in Canada as a work permit holder.
She has applied to extend her work permit since 1st week in April and
awaiting good news of approval.
Why this process was ongoing,AVO responded positively to my FSW2014.
Currently,we are awaiting PPR hopefully this week or next week from AVO
Currently,I am residing in Nigeria please can her landing activities be done
in Canada without coming to Nigeria?

also did you apply for PR from within canada or from outside canada as this are 2 different things?

you need to get a police report if you haven't gotten one. please kind;y go get one as it is a requirement from applicants

I am the principal applicant and apply from Nigeria.
My wife is a work permit holder in Canada

Thanks bonblu, your view is my position as well hence I thought of getting it handy while I have time to visit Alagbon now as I work on mainland. I dont think I submitted with my application which was received on July 14. 2014. They AVO first request for update of proof fund on May 26 which i submit, then MR was asked on June 11 but no Police report and RFRF.

Friends, I got MR only without Police report nor other requirements. Does it mean Police report is no more required? I need urgent reply please because I want to do my police report tomorrow as I have the chance and please is it to be done at Alagbon or Obalende? All Seniors please your candid advise is needed urgently.

Maybe you submitted one with your previous application. Police report request is at the discretion of the VO handling your case file. If it was not part of your MR, don't disturb yourself. Congratulations!

i would like to use my self an example.
i had my master degree internationally from a top ranked business sch, while my bsc was from nigeria.
In order for me to be awarded point and be recognised by wes that my bsc was valid
wes contacted both schools hence,and i had to get both transcript across to them even though i only requested for my masters to be evaluated, but they insisted.. hence, you need to prove that you genuinely have a bsc and masters because wes would request you do this.. so my advise is do the right thing NOW..

I used ICAS and not WES.

I only evaluated my Masters degree which was obtained in the UK. My request for Nigerian transcript was taking forever so i asked ICAS to go ahead with my masters only. I sent the report with only Masters evaluation.
NB: When my bachor transcript was ready, i asked ICAS for an updated report which has been done and i have this in my custody for use in Canada.

I did not send the updated report to CIC. What they have is the earlier one with Masters only.
