If it does then you need a minimum of 1 year experience, then you are required to get a letter of reference.

I will need your advise on choosing a consultant. A friend who has landed on FSW1 in Canada advised that I pick a registered consultant in Canada because they can be trusted than our consultants in Naija. I need your take on this pleeaaase. Canadian Mum and others...Igbehinadara?

Hi DeeBruv, it's good to use a consultant for ease of application but the truth is majority of the people on this forum applied/are applying by themselves, no consultant involved. I guess it boils down to your comfort level. Not that a consultant can get your application processed faster. The minute your application is submitted, all applicants are the same. What we did was print the Instructions Guide Best and the Document Checklist from CIC website then fill the application ourselves. Best of luck with your application though, we are always available to offer help and advice.

Pipis Husband. thanks for guiding me. I actually sent the documents to my Canadian Consultant this month but I was scared that the cap may have been reached for my NOC. QSW got filled up under 3 months! I don't want to risk having errors that cic will now return my docs by normal post and the cap probably would have been reached before re-submission. I am just being skeptical. Thanks so much you are the bomb!

Is it based on the Noc you're applying for or just experience in the last 10 yrs. 1've over 10yrs wk experience but abt 4 years on the noc I'm applying under. Please clarify. In addition, my wife's first isn't on her intl pp but is on all other docs. What can we do.

Your point will be calculated on 4yrs please.
If I am correct are you talking about maiden name and surname in this case.
If that is the case Don't worry as that is normal as your marriage cert will clarify
surname with maiden name.

Hi, if your other 6 years of experience are in an occupation that is classified as either Skill level 0 (managerial occupation) Skill level A (occupations requiring university degree) or Skill level B (occupations requiring college/high school qualifications) by the NOC site and you can get the employer reference letter for the job in CIC format, it will be counted in your favor and you can get the maximum points. The other jobs do not have to be on the eligible list so far you have at one job on the eligible list of 50 occupations for FSW 2014 with one year experience.
As to the issue of your wife's first name not being on her passport, how is that possible? Surname from maiden family is understandable if it's different but please clarify on this first name being different on the passport and her other documents. Did she do a legal change of first name? If so, simply put the affidavit of change of name in your application otherwise, supply more details to enable us advise. Cheers.

Hello everyone I am new to this forum.i am a nigerian and I applied for the 2014 fswp. My Credit Card has been charged and 7 hafe received a PER mail from CIC . Do I have to update any form to continue my membership. My application was received oh the 13th of may.
